I don't want to waste time in searching, but I'm sure we discussed in our site a long time ago, precisely because some of us feared some hard illness.

I mean wow, so even with no proof that they did something wrong, we're really gonna try to slander Paul and Rob of all people? throw them under the bus now for the bad quality of Heroes 6, huh?
and actually trying to backing up this lame, revisionist BS is a waste of time?
man oh man, I swear I've really seen and heard it all at this point.

For sure. I can't much speak on Rob, but it's quite clear to me that Paul is a really good guy. It's apparently that he puts his heart and soul into the tracks that he composes for the series--you can actually feel the passion and sincerity behind his music... and he takes the time to reply to fans on YouTube and Facebook.
Slagging him off? That's fuckery.

I asked another user in our community and told me that Rob's illness was a known fact and corrected me about where this was known: an interview with Paul, just in case you want to do some research.

Yeah, Nival guys had too crazy ideas.
Still, they managed to release the best Ubi Heroes to date...

You have only two HoMM games from Ubisoft, both bugged as hell at realease date and months after.
It's not fair to say that final HoMM5 3.0 version (released more then 1,5 year after vannilia version) is better then HoMM6 1.x version, especially when HoMM5 is playable as ToE - without this expansion pack game lacks a lot of features.
Wait till Shades of Darkness come out and then compare these two titles.

I never had the intention of comparing two titles but to say, overall, which one is better (until now).
Yes, when Shades of Purple is out, we'll see how much it improves basic Heroes VI and how it's overall.
I hope it's more clear now...

well thats your opinion,
in my opinion they had some good ideas that were changed for worse,
generally speaking Nival were leaning more towards Heroes 3
while Ubi wanted some changes!
what we got in the end was some sort of compromise between those two

No, it's not. If you weren't attentive at the time of the interview, it's your problem. I'm pretty sure we made some comments about this issue in our community, so you can believe me or not, truth is I don't care.

Nival made the worst "original" decision in the history of the franchise imo. Even worst then ending the world back in Heroes IV by 3DO.
They made the Initiative Bar. A game mechanic that destroyed Heroes 5 for me... oh and they made some bad design choices like "swaping" Unicorn colors (the white, concept art base version was soo much better), and changed the nice original Treant model into the Ant-Man And I don't give a damn about the fact that modders changed it back, because I'm a purist...
For that I will never forgive them...
PS: I don't believe SoD will change anything in the game mechanics. Maybe a little bug fixing here and there and that's all...
