Well, Piquedram was weird, I had 31 speed with prayer so moved first of course. I got cornered with only one stack, he had fear almost every time and I had morale EVERY time. Yet when he finally got to hit, it wiped almost all devils. This was with 350 HP or increased damage. As soon as I boosted defense from 70 to 1xx I lost only half of them, then quick shield.
Galthran gone too 4.4.3. Remember that on Hell he has 1/3 less army, I needed to reload until got death blow on lyches, then dispel every round because he kept casting shield and damage not enough to wipe him before efreets are gone. With dispel he died at right time, lost only 4 devils to towers.

Now I have to head back to Zydar, that one gotta be annoying, but I am much stronger now, will see. Month 5 soon and I need to beat King of lyches too. Not easy that fight if lyches have HP*2.

Nice map name you have there!
This thing looks awesome, just a few questions (wasnt able to read the whole thread):
-Which is harder: MoW or MoS (guess the others are easier, even if I dont get why MoD is "easy", bonus seems mediocre to me (to defend myself: dont know much about all this WoG stuff)?
-What are spoils of war?
-What do you get as reoccuring special bonus, movement or mithril (1st post didnt make it clear)?
I will surely try this, seems like ~Rise of the sun king~ tests will have to wait...

Actually is quite hard to explain if you never got hand on wog, but here is the list of the available factions, pasted it from erm:

» Can upgrade Devils and Archdevils to Hell Barons. Through upgrades, Hell Barons can achieve 300 damage and 1500 HP maximum (excluding the Magic Shop).
» Can select their special bonus.

Yes, you play MoD, right? I fixed this issue time ago, see post on 14 April, 6th page. Now using clean vars to modify spell name.

@ bob, spoils of war is the Earth (3rd) Bonus unlocked upon having 180 spells upgrades. It provides resources as a bonus every won battle, depending on army you've defeated.
every 50 battles won your hero will get a "special level-up, when he gets as a reward permanently movement points and one of the following : mithril, orb of fire, 10 to all stats (think this is possible only once), devils ando something else I think , can't remember. 1st special level up is always mithril , after that is Radodom of the above.
Master of Devils can choose his bonuses.

ML, no idea why those two z vars get messed, maybe hardcoded abilities use some of them and we aren't aware. I changed them to lower (z78/z79) and everything will normalize when you will visit again the barons lair, tested. Until then, you will read strange things in haste/frenzy description, it changes every day.

5.2.3 Aine. Will be a bit slower from now because arena gives a LOAD of resources on fight, so I need to visit it every day until I have fire bonus. And Arena above level 4 is most of time not doable, they move too fast. If I can take Fafner before month 6 I will be happy, the fights after him are easier.
btw, did I say Arena and dragons cave gives spoils of war on Hell? Well, it didn't, fixed.

Ok, very nice progress, very fast. Somehow forced. Dat Supreme Archangel already 1.8 k Hp...
the other factions will need some attention to make em competitive. I'd say a mix of movement rate and army power. If you get fafner before month 6 there's nothing to stop you finishing map in m6. but is it doable in month 7+?
I'll try my luck on a MoS game these days. Will keep you briefed.

Hm seems to like being able to upgrade damage and health indefinitely will cause lots of confusions (because the feature has never been implanted into the map before) and require lots of new strategies to upgrade properly. Before just upgrade damage to max, then health, then def and finally atk if you are luxury, now you have to mix between health and damage in a balanced way, sometime a bit speed and def here and there, or save Mithrils to upgrade Demons instead, etc.
May you do a quick MoE test in Hell Sal?!

Demons are still very weak, only 30 damage. I use most of special levels bonuses either for devils or orbs of fire, because CB's are scary (cyclops: 400 HP).
Even in dwarven treasuries, if 4x30 stacks hit you, you lose one devil. I want to finish it (or try at least) with MoS first. I already said you don't need to worry about MoE, will be the best in hell. With such resurrect x8, you only need to survive one attack.

Well on the bright more Health + better stats also equals more spoils of war right?
Actually sometime 2 turns or more, assume that you only have one stack left you have to use Wait instead of attacking (which means lowering the damage received) to Double Cast, yes quite an annoying feature of double cast but I assume that there is no other way to fix it.
