MoS too strong? Whoops didn't see that coming. I think its power is not because of speed, but +2 Mithril accumulation per CB, allow it to get a decent amount of Mithril even at very early state of the game, and crazy later due to high movement chain and Water bonus. A solution change is +1 Mithril accumulation per CB at early game, then (probably until month 3 or 4) you can have +2 Mithril per CB again later.

Anyway I have just defeated Olema in my MoE game. Currently in extremely hungry Mithril situation and can hardly scratch any one at all. Luckily most of the battles are doable by magic alone, dem Double Chain Lightnings just fry the entire army, make me wish to have an option to upgrade it to Level 5 and become Titan Chain Lightning (CL that does not reduce damage between jumps), also Double Destroy Undead allows me to take Caves earlier (because 100% of Blood Dragon now). Though I guess it's just a matter of time until magic damage falls off and you have to rely on your army at that point.

Would be interesting to see how many more fights are doable with 200 barons.

Finally killed Ajit, his dragons also have AD hatred yet I still managed to survive with x8 Resurrection power, have to upgrade Fearless extremely early though because 1 Fear and I am dead. Also god know what would happen if I didn't known the new Double Cast trict.

Sure, x8 keeps you alive providing you can survive the first attack.


I am near Gurnisson and is messed, the AI growth is ok, it is our bonuses which are too strong with MoS. So, while everyone is free to continue and have fun in current version, I will still remove all mithril bonuses for MoS and leave them as in Ouch mode, +1 for each creature bank, reward based on month number, not x2. But other factions will keep x2. I think the only bonus I could allow for MoS would be allowing cornucopias give x2 resources, so he can get faster double cast.

In current state MoS Hell is much easier than MoS Ouch mode, check yourself, Fafner battle is supposed to be a hell of a battle, yet his army is decimated on first turn like nothing.

For those playing MoE/MoW nothing will change. In reality, it is the attack all around feature which messed all the things, it is just too strong for Heroes, combined with huge mithril income which allow your damage to go past 250.

How many % chance Resistance does AI have? Is it 20% like the description because I feel like their chance of getting resist are way higher than that, or there are some hidden bonuses that I don't know?

I remember Ouch mode later parts of the map. Mithril income was so large that I simply didn't care to farm it at highest effectiveness. the ratio being increased for Hell led to an obvious nerf of the feature.

Hell is hard up until Aine level (is what I estimate, I am still reloading on Dace....) . After that the dmg unbalances the difficulty coupled by the rising legions of demons. You could leave cap to 200 on ADs/100 for demons. I can't make more valid arguments as I am still month 3w2. But ye, to much mithril too fast trivializes the difficulty. Maybe cap the income in later months , like leave to +1 or cap it to maximum up to +25 / day . This is HELL only. If you really want the map to be equally challenging from day 1 to Maximus , on Hell.

Hell should be a big challenge as it is for ppl who completed the map at least once, liked it and want to give it a try in a game where every move must be very carefully calculated.

bob, please upload save, nothing should provoke crash.

Defeated Gurnisson. Was ouch of battle. Azures 7000 HP, 33000 demons with 354 damage could kill 645x2/hit out of 35000. Efreets had rebirth +2 so I survived, but lost all devils, resurrect phase took 1 hour.

I will limit azures HP to that battle. 6000 should be enough, or you will never make it if you are there month 7 or later.

Wait how does Resurrection phrase take 1 hour seriously? Even with Turbo mode on? Because in my games they take like... several minutes at best, yes I know it's MoE but still.

Well, devils have 1566 HP, and even with resurrect power 720 you can raise only a few per cast. Hey, this is not MoE.

Confusing, wanted to try it again just to be sure, but it didn't happen again...sorry then

Anyway, I would change the ability to exploit the angel dwellings (if you dont have 60000, you can take it, buy one, then visit again, pay the fee, and get the devil, if you do this 4 times it pays, is also very easy, since you have markets). Also, it seems that if you take Pasis Angel Dwelling, he will never be able to attack you, since he gets angels then. Also, he will get stuck for the rest of the week (since you enter devils from the right side), so ->

Either remove ability to convert Pasis' dwelling to devils or give him the ability to change back to angels?

I thought of that but I consider it a wise move, not every one will think of. Anyway, Pasis is not an issue, you need to defeat it the earliest possible because he has the statue of legion. He is supposed to attack you week 7-8 when he gets enough angels, but only a noob will let him live so long.

I know, but its more of a bug, the guy is supposed to either attack you, or be attacked by you, preventing one thing to happen is not wanted. As a surplus, using all those battles you can take twice, it is much easier to get the gods blessing much earlier. First blessing out of thin air just after Damacon, which seems pretty soon...

Also, is there any way to enable the HD Mods quick splitting feature? HD itself works, but many buttons are missing...


PS: Sorry if I say things twice, but I dont want to read through ~100 pages. The search function of HC is not great either...

You have somehow a split feature scripted by me, divide stack in 4, 5 or 6. Right-click + Ctrl key on stack to get. The dwellings were first as you say, you could only fight once after you pay, but players asked to be able to fight even if you don't have the money, and I had no objection, +1 to battles counter for a few dwellings is not like is going to kill the thing.

I can change the way pasis is scripted, but IMO would be work for nothing. You need his death more than anything, he has boots, gloves, admiral hat and statue. All tricks to stop him are useless, you suffer from that, not him.

@Biobob,Sal pay respect to players,some of whom are able to find many ways of exploit and report to him,when found.

I am impressed by some of the possibilities and wish I was the one that found them first,before Sal fixes the problem and the possible pleasure of exploit is gone(I am talking about just one time to see for myself the effects).

You still can exploit the whole thing, I leaved a cheat code in script at the end, all you need is to add a "!" to make it working. Changes faction, difficulty, week bonus. Helpful for testing, but could be used also for anything by wanabee scripters.

Allaround as well as strike and return break the whole thing.

~SPOILER~

Took the cave of gods week 4 and unlocked air special. Then just went against Jaegar with nothing more then my arch devils. Now cast slow, enemy will line up, then freeze (for whatever reason). Attack his dragons until they are nearly (!!!!) dead. Once slow runs out, you let him blind and shoot you until 0 Mana, then you bless and attack his other forces, NOT the dragons. Kill the dragons last, once they are dead, enemy will move again.

I dont know if this is intended, but the fight (which could have been hell looking at his dragons) was kinda too easy this way...

Also, my arch devils have only 453 HP, fully upgraded and with air special. Shouldnt it be 600...? (I have life ring, but still).
