I can't load that save, and your game looks totally broken. I would need saves from the week before then I need to know what you did exactly to have the map literally deleting objects, then also I see HD mod there which is not 100% compatible with Era scripts.

Rest of the map seems intact, only that part is distorted.

This I could load, but I see no problems in. My guess is that, with all the teleporters you had to create, delete then create/delete again, after 9 months the map is crying and dying from those additions. Of course is not your fault, 252x252 maps are untested feature, it works well when we finish them before month 7, but longer you play, more chances it gets corrupted there are -this is the first time I see such mess, where entire parts of map get deleted during play.
I wish I could help, but such bugs do not depend on WoG or any code I could fix. My advice: finish it before month 7 max, you have all the tools and tweaks for that.
Also one more advice, don't place a teleporter 1 step near water, in a place your hero could land later on. That is instant crash. If you place the teleporter 2 steps from water then is okay.

Yes, I don't know why, but I'm very slow player. In theory I'm doing everything right (using teleporters, exploring with main character, farming CB's with secondary), but as you can see, even on lower difficulties it took horribly long time.
Another issue - I can't get dragon's horn! I mean, I know where it is, I can see it, but I can't find place to summon boat or water walk.

YES, I DID IT! Maximus is dead, Rome is in my hands. And I know, that may be silly, but I'm proud of myself - I never was a Heroes expert, I've never played a multiplayer match in my life, but after months of trying I finally did it.
Thank you, Salamandre, for the best map I've ever played. Are there any similiar maps that are so sophisticated, filled with innovative solutions and based on skill, not luck?

Basically, all sal's maps are same. Try Alexander the Great, it's strategy related too, and this one I played. Older version of TEW also exists, which is surprisingly named TEW III. I personally found latest version more enjoyable, but TEW III is still worth playing. And there're hundreds of maps, that are worth playing, in both WoG and SoD: The Chaser, TEW I,II etc., don't be afraid to test a map, unlike me.

Umm, no, my maps are not same, each is designed and imagined on a not found elsewhere idea. Alexander the Great is a very hard and long map (difficulty adjustable), based on a very aggressive AI. Time of Prophecy, you play with the same creature all the map, then TEW3 is NOT an old version of TEW4, is a totally different map and plot.
Then Chaser and TDS are not my maps, I only translated them then added or fixed some scripts because the base concept (playing with ghosts) was not so funny.
Then of course, you have 300 Spartans and Star Gate Atlantis which are role playing maps.

Sorry, I must have mistranslated my thoughts . I meant, that TEW III is previous part of TEW series obviously, and I was also meant to recommend "Wayfarer" instead of "The Chaser" (I still wrote good map, but it wasn't my thought ). I shouldn't have written message while being almost asleep.

Ragnar Quest map series are also challenging maps. in Ragnar Quest 1 and 2 you play as Dungeon and in the Ragnar Quest 3 you are Castle(Which is very similar to TEW II).

Hard question, I don't remember any of those. Where the feathers are asked and where is Rosic, tell me first so I can check.

Angel feather arrows are asked at a quest guard that blocks the subterranean gate to fafner.
Rosic is in a Rampant Town with four trees of knowledge in front.

Okay, now I see. Open map in editor and look for the two ways teleporter north of Rosic. Then use "find" option in editor to find the same teleporter -then press F3 to go to next teleporter and so on, until you find the one you need. Then the feather you get it from a seer hut underground, after beating Alamar (230/73/1). To get to him, use the hidden teleporter at 239/189/0 (behind dwarven treasury).
In general locations are easy to find when using the editor and find option.

Leaving troops
Hello.
Been some years since I played TEW IV. Felt like playing it once more. I believe the map I just downloaded has undergone some changes since last time. The first thing I noticed is that I can't leave troops on the map to be picked up by another hero later on. Well, I can do it BEFORE I step into Tenatha. After that not anymore. Is this on purpose or is this caused by some mod?
Regards, NR.
ps. Are there other essential changes i should expect?

Everything is right that way. You can just leave an artifact in front of the red tent, then is over. For other changes, they are all presented on the first page of this thread.

Wow, thx for fast reply!
Since the AI stayed at the swan pond I decided not to waste troops nor an artifact to prevent him from landing. If he comes after me at some point I'll deal with it at that time.
Was just curious because I can leave troops just before I step into the first town and immediately after that it isn't possible anymore.
Pity, I love to exchange troops without 2 heroes actually having to meet.
I understand now this was intended, correct?

First, that hero should not stay on the pond, this is a bug. if you have the last version, then there is a fix for it, Pasis will be teleported near your town week 3-4.
Then all is normal with troops. When "leaving troops" script is enabled, the troops you leave day 7 will be considered as normal armies on day 1 and will receive growth from heroes mechanics. And this is out of question. So the script is off.

Master of Speed
No question, just a remark.
At the start, if someone chooses Master of Speed, even though the MoS as being the first 'button' is auto-selected, you still HAVE to click on it to receive the expert logistics.
