Not sure what you mean, logistic expert is given before the game starts. Probably you restarted the game without exiting to desktop? Some variables may overlap in that case, but not sure.

Hi,
I always mean exactly what I say.
I tested and started fresh. If I get to the 'choose master screen' and just click the "V" bottom right (since MOS top left is already selected), I will not receive my expert logistics. I made some print screens. hope it works. Haven't linked to pictures in here before.

But now something else. I just converted Lugdunum into Inferno. But now my already converted creature dwellings (portal of Glory ---> Forsaken palace)are not counted in the weekly creature growth. In the newly converted Lugdunum I only have a growth of 3 instead of 6. Is this normal or am I missing something?

Thx,

The thing with growth is normal.
The thing with logistics? No idea, I have never experienced that.

Sal, already explain, that dwellings only count when you flag and convert them after change any faction to inferno.

yeah my fault with master of speed, if you click nothing and go directly to game, logistic isn't given. I didn't notice it as I always select something, I will probably fix it later, for now it not worth a new release just for this, thanks.
As for growth, they are right. Its a game bug, growth from "converted" generators isn't taken into consideration for old converted towns, only for new (or vice-versa, can't recall right now). Can't be fixed.

@ Anyone
Hello, I'm playing MOS at max. difficulty. (ouch) Going for record time Haven't lost a troop yet except for the first couple of towns when I didn't have resurrect yet.
Commodus is unfortunately not strong enough yet to take on Wystan. I hate hanging around for weeks waiting for troop growth with nothing to do.
I will try a couple of times more, but I don't seem to have enough rebirth to keep the titans from destroying my large stack of AD's.
Now the questions.
- 1. I see in the forums that people are using efreet as rebirthing blockers versus the shooters. I always use AD's. Is there an advantage using efreet I don't know about? Maybe more rebirth?
- 2. I would try myself but in the transfer ability screen there is no option available to transfer rebirth and additional castings from AD's to efreet.
- 3. Also it doesn't seem possible to buy rebirth for AD's AND efreet both? One can only apply an ability to 1 kind of troop? Is that correct?
- 4. Another thing I don't get. Up to now in every fight I get my clones immediately in the first round (even though in the abilities screen it says second round). Now against Wystan this is the first time I have to wait until round 2. Why is that?
EDIT:
Wystan is no more...
There is a lot of good luck/bad luck involved in this battle. Had to try it over and over again. About 25 times. Many times I got killed because due to his ridiculously high moral his 3 stacks of titans played 5 or 6 times, thereby reducing the number of stacks and therefore clones below the minimum needed.
Also you need to take out 1 arrow tower immediately in round 1, you need an absolute minimum of 500 spell points, hope the gremlins don't resist your forgetfulness and pray the titans behave normally in the first 3 to 4 rounds. If you already upgraded your earthquake to 12 force like me it isn't usable anymore because it will destroy walls.
All in all a very frustrating fight that cost more than an afternoon to get through. Time for a beer, pffff. I fear the worst for the upcoming fights :-)
After some research and testing...
I believe the "clones in round 1 / 2" has to do with equal skill in tactics (?)

@Nobody Really
1. Well, additional castings and rebirth takes up 2 slots out of 8, and devils need them for vital skills (or not so vital, can't recall right now ), so everyone bought them for Efreets. In case of MoE, which I played, in fight against Cyclops hero (Yog?) I needed units with speed just as much as Efreets had, so their clones flied one after one to absorb Cyclop's attack, but that was a special case. I also thought of using Pit Lords for living shields, as they have 1 additional casting, though they have obvious disadvantages: much lesser speed and no fire protection. I never did this because of your statement #2.
2. It seems that Sal was lazy or decided, that only selected skills must be moved between units, so he didn't make rebirth/additional castings as well as allowed only Demons, Efreets and Devils. Correct me, Sal, if I am wrong, as I can't judge you with this, you're the mapmaker.
3. Yes, one ability can be applied only to 1 creature at once. Though it may not destroy the balance if some abilties are applied for 2 creatures, it's not entirely needed. Again, I'm not sure if it's possible to script without doing dramatic changes.
4. Tactics round is considered round 0 for game, thus when enemy and you have same tactics grade, you lose that extra round to spawn clones.
And max difficulty is "HELL", you can choose it by clicking skull in a corner of difficulty select, the one that change faces.
@Sal
If you decide to expand ability move list, I would request to add No Retal, so Efreets could poison enemies sometimes, when you don't have demons yet.

@ AlfWithCake
Thank you for the quick reply.
I always play at max difficulty for maximum challenge and now I missed the one tugged away in the bottom left corner. Aaargh.
When I started I noticed the option to move abilities to other creatures later on, so I didn't pay any attention at the time. Oh well, it seems I'm stuck with them. Hope they prove useful later on.
I was having the perfect, extremely fast and zero losses, game. In the process of battling Broghild and now I should consider starting over...
That's 2 weeks of play down the drain.
What to do, what to do. The map is absolutely worth it. Tough decision.

I recall the problem with !!EA:B scripted abilities was that there was no way to store the ability in variable then pass it to another creature. So you had to tell which exactly had to move between then selecting only demon/effret/devils as direct fighting creatures. All others are demon feed, except shooters in one quest.
Making switch abilities properly between any creature would require another custom dialog and probably I thought there were enough dialog already.
Then Wistan is the hardest boos in the game for some. I would say there are 5-7 very hard fights, especially for MoS, which is the hardest faction.
For tactics, as he said.
I would add that effrets are very good in wistan battle, as depending on their number, the fire shield will kill 30-60 titans (the large stack), then they rebirths again, so again fire shield. So it is possible to kill an entire titan stack on first round if army correctly upgraded.

Hi,
30-60 titans???
I think it was around the end of the 8th week.
I faced 600-400-600 titans and 34000 master gremlins against my approximately 350 AD's. My clones managed to keep them at a distance until the spell points were gone and I could start hitting back. At some point I was down to 5 stacks of 1 AD. Haha. Took over an hour in real time
But yes, that fire shield might be very useful

The first round is decisive. The larger devil stack must be frenzied, then frenzy must be at 30% minimum, then the devils damage must be also upgraded a lot.
When I said larger stack I talk about largest effret stack, not titans. Titans number are ok. Also if fights take too long, use turbo wog mod.

Sorry, I don't follow. No way the first round can be decisive. You said 60 titans, but I see 1600 of them. And my stats are more then fine.
EDIT: only just saw the second line in your post.
EDIT2: Also, there is no time for frenzy. In round 1 I cast forgetfulness on the gremlins. If I stick 2 stacks next to the titans, they die and i have a shortage of clones. So I can only put 1 stack there and let one of the titan stacks have a go at my large stack of devils. Which will be decimated to almost 0.

Your devils damage is too low for wistan, must be 100 at least. Then you can raise your hero attack up to 120 using the tower left from wistan (guarded by dragons), just switch spell power for attack. Then you need frenzy 30% minimum, on first round. The middle titans stack must die first round, also try to get morale to do such.
Forgetfulness on gremlins ONLY second round, first round block them. Titans are the most dangerous.

I just tested it by jumping back to the arcane tower (where i got my initial 96 attack skill in the first place). It will not let me go higher than 99. (some mod I'm missing??)
You have a point by maybe not casting forgetfulness on the gremlins. But I won the fight anyway with my method. Even though it took a long time.
I know my damage is still low but I'm an extremely fast player in concurring towns/territory and maybe I over-invested mithril in converting towns to my faction. I like to do that as soon as possible because otherwise the dwellings I convert don't count for those towns.
Anyway, thx for the answers. I might be starting all over again anyway because I missed the "hell" option in the lower left corner and I don't like to play lower than maximum difficulty (been playing #6 "ouch")

In mod manager, right click on wog mod then plugins, enable "display stats over 99".
Then Hell difficulty has nothing to do with "maximum difficulty", as 200%. The custom difficulties are there to help anybody to enjoy the map, no matter his level or how many times he played it. If you must reload 50 times at hell, just lower the difficulty, AI will have less hitpoints and you will enjoy the progression.

Nope. The more difficult the more I enjoy it.
I'm used to winning impossible fights. There is always a way.
I'll be back in a couple of weeks with progress.
