Sky mod
All known pic from Heroes 5 with sky but how to get this sky to game ?
Can't find information - I need help with it
Sky is the limit? Not for Hayven - he prepared mod:
skies.pak (put to Data folder)
or
skies.h5u version (put to UserMODs folder)
camera settings
The first one (.pak) should be in 'data' folder and it works with basic, HoF and ToE.
The second one (.h5u) should be in 'UserMODs' folder and it works with ToE only.
Extract CameraSettings.zip and put the files inside 'Profile' folder inside the game folder, NOT the save folder in My Documents. Remember to make backup of 'Profile' folder. It works with H5 basic, HoF and ToE.

When you set the shader to 1, you will get the sky, but will lose many textures, such as waters etc. So, Sylvan townscreen will be very ugly.

You can also use special lighting type and mod its graphics. The sky should be visible in game

This one that appers not only in editor but also in the game. Don't know what exactly, I don't remember, but there are some like I said.
I tell about light such as "Haven Light 1 (day)" or "Necropolis Light 2 (Swamp)"
And... changing this variable in user.cfg (nopixelshaders) doesn't work :/

I think that they didn't implement it because of the computer performance. When HV was released computers weren't so good, so they would probably have problems with the sky.

But there are textures and animations with sky so I guess it could be possible to make mod - not need to look far Reanimation mod by PROME7HEUS brings new life and new functions to game.
Now we can only wait for good soul who will make it from beta/demo files and bring the sky for heroes

Have they only created sky for Haven and Necro?

In alpha version on adenture map there was clouds on ground so I guess that there should be animations.

If so there is still chance to get this data from older builds of game and implemented them - now computing power is definitely greater.

If you have seen dialogscenes, then you know that sky is visible - but only texture, not an animation. It is visible in the Editor only. But some skies are visible in game, too but they aren't used in original maps

That was just.. Wow!
Now, if only someone is interested enough in these skies, and create a mod that will give human players sky as their factions (blue, shining sky for Haven, this reddish sky for Inferno etc).
If that is too much, at least the blue+cloud sky for all factions will do for me

I only show what is possible to make xD
Instructions for volunteers - get into map files, search for the 'Ambient Light' line, change the value for the different one - you'll find them via Map Editor...
... and go!
I haven't got enough time to do it, but maybe soon...
