Death
Both of my grandfathers and my aunt have passed away during my youth. I guess I'm not exactly lucky. Now, one of my grandmothers is near death as well.
What is death? Death is nothing, it can't be understood. Life is life and follows the law of life: progress.
Whatever happens I gotta stay focused and make sure my life gets better.
A matter of life and death, all the same.
I don't fear death, but I feel there are many things I have to do in this world before I move on to the next.
Thanatos is my homeboy btw. And he was the original, before all that grim reaper bullsnowww
Or Samael, Yama, you name it. I'm ready for anything. Even if death is just darkness, darkness is my old friend.

Death is the end of life. It's when all your bodily functions stop working and all the information in your brain is deleted.
I hope that humans will one day reach such a level of technology that they won't have to experience death and no one would die against their will.

TheDeath was a legend. Emphasis on was. He is no more.
@mvass
If that happens it will only be the rich and powerful who will escape death, they'll never make it available for the masses. Or maybe they will, to have eternal slaves. who cares...

A theist may fear and dread death (and judgement). Not me. ^^

As a child of the Living God who loved me enough to begin to exist as a mortal man and to die sacrificially for me I have nothing to fear. I'll live forever with my God.

WRONG!
Death is the consequence of sin. But Christ died for us. So, no more tears, no more death, no more suffering in the new world. Why people can't see this?

Omnipotence is cool. Only God has it.
Some people believe they can acheive a utopia by themselves but can't believe there is a supreme being who can? I can't believe it...

Religious or not almost everybody fears death when it's very near. Just talk about it to people working in hospitals, they have pretty disturbing stories. All you can hope for is a quick death in your sleep when you're ninety or something... What I specifically fear is that short period when your heart stops but your consciousness is not gone yet, so you are dead and you know it. You hear the relatives crying over you, people declaring your death... Back in the nineties, a guy who survived the big earthquake had a book on that, he was found in the rubble and presumed dead in that chaos, put in a body bag, zipped and taken to the morgue, witnessing all of it but being able to do nothing. In the morgue, he finally could pull to strength to blink and saved himself at the last moment.

I want to live until I'll feel I have accomplished everything I wanted.
So, yes, if there will be an earthquake, I will fight to survive. No surrender.

First, it won't be an "it" - the abolition of involuntary death will be the result of a series of advances, not just one innovation. It'll be a gradual lengthening of the lifespan ("120 is the new 60", then "500 is the new 120", and so on) as diseases, accidents, and the effects of aging are dealt with more effectively by medicine and technology. Second, why do you say that only the rich and powerful will escape death? That's never been the case for any medical advance in history - why would this be different?

It's not that black and white mvass, statistically rich people still live longer and may I remind you, your poor is US poor! Just check the life-span in third-world countries and you'll see the difference.

Never gonna happen, and fortunately. Humans differ each other by their capacity to become immortals, spiritually speaking. Life is a spiritual race against death, the majority of us die and leave only poo behind, other survive in memories. Can't imagine what a boring world would be without this race.

Agree Sal. Look at people like Napoleon and even John Lennon or MJ. They are spiritually immortal even from your non-Christian point of view.

Do you think we stand a chance? They'll nuke us, drug us, gas-chamber us and do what else God-knows-what to us.
They only way to beat them is to become like them. Then we can destroy them from within.
