So the Best bite of the year brings for Suarez suspension of 9 games and 4 months banning from any football-related activity. Even he can't attend Uruguay next game(s). I was going to say "too harsh"... but it's for third time. No excuses this time
And the sad part is that the neutral fans are affected too because he could've been one of the leading stars until the end of this competition. Many stars left and now the idiot's made the stupidest act ever.

I think he can still be transfered, but I don't think he will be transfered after this...
If he stays at Liverpool, he misses something like 13 matches (plus 9 with Uruguay). First bite 7, second one 10 and third one 22 matches...seems fair, imo. This snow can't be allowed on the pitch, by no means.

Yay, we advance! German team was waaaaay too easy.
Poor Suarez. He reached the high point of his career with his assist goal from Steven Gerrard, but then he just couldn't resist having some Italian. They shouldn't have scheduled the match with such a late lunch afterward.

I'm calling a Brazil v Argentina final.
Colombia v Uruguay and Netherlands v Mexico are going to be interesting; so much above-their-par performance from Mexico and Colombia. I think Colombia is very likely to get to face Brazil now that Uruguay is short their preferred striker. I'm not expecting any further progression from them though.

Rofl, Argentina with the easiest bracket ever. Still, if they don't show a better form they will get demolished in semis.
I predict Germany - Mexico

Mexico's hardest opponent until the final is going to be the one they're going up against shortly.
I hope we don't see yet another Dutch team sail their way to the finals and then suddenly fall apart to their opponent. They need to just lose right now or make it the whole way

My prediction is Germany vs. Netherland at the final.
Imo, the only problem for Germany is France in that “stream” (or maybe branch, I don’t know the right term). Brazil will reach semi-final no matter what but they don’t have well-functioning team (same goes for Belgium – good players, no team). The only way Brazil to reach the final is if they have some great day and/or FIFA support.
In the other stream I see Netherlands as a finalist because they are very intelligent team - they play sparingly (almost defensive), without some risks and their counter attacks are deadly. Argentina doesn’t play well because they suffer of lack of a playmaker. They haven’t had real playmaker since Pablo Aimar. Neither Veron or Riquelme were real playmakers. The team will be balanced with a player like Aimar or Ortega. Their flanks are not efficient too.
Lets see what is going to happen, maybe they’ll prove wrong

Branch is more correct, thought I'd swear it can also be used "bracket"

I'm not that convinced, Uruguay without Suarez will probably fall, but Colombia won't be an easy opponent, imo.

hmmmmm I am going to go for... a Netherlands/Colombia Final actually Both have very well-rounded teams and great players.
It's probably too early to tell though as we have many games approaching that could go either way.

I'm assuming Suarez has some kind of eccentric mannerism that makes him want to spontaneously bite people on the fly in the heat of the moment. I can't imagine him actually making a conscious, planned decision to bite somebody, especially after he's done it twice. I mean... it leaves a visible trail of evidence . It's about the most self-defeating foul you could commit. You know that he knew he was in trouble after the match because while everybody else was celebrating he was somber.
I'm glad that he's gone though. Vindicator's GIF from page 15 says it all. Personally, I have zero leniency towards guys that crumble to the ground in a completely fake show like that. Bench him and let him stew.
