Salamandre said: Trump is NOT talking about economy when he made the comment, but about justice equality :
"Equal justice under the law must mean that every American receives equal treatment in every encounter with law enforcement regardless of race, color, gender or creed. They have to receive fair treatment from law enforcement. They have to receive it. We all saw what happened last week. We can’t let that happen. Hopefully George is looking down right now and saying, “This is a great thing that’s happening for our country.” It’s a great day for him, it’s a great day for everyone. This is a great day for everybody. This is a great, great day in terms of equality. It’s really what our Constitution requires and it’s what our country is all about."
Does he means the police is now brutalizing white, black and latino people a like?

Well, first it has nothing to do with what he said, he is just emphasizing the justice must be equal for all races. That's what every leader does, in a civilized world. How police acts after, it is its responsibility, and consequences are obvious, isn't Derek Chauvin prosecuted for murder?

@ Salamandre
Yet again you are inventing your own story by leaving out the context. Here you can watch his blabbering.
He starts by telling how great everything was a couple of months before, and that they thought there would be another loss of 9 millions jobs, but lo and behold, they gained 3 million instead, and that from now on the country will rise again in Biblical glory - and then your quote comes in, since THEN he goes on to say that equal justice under the law must mean that every American receives equal treatment in every encounter with law enforcement regardless of race, color, gender or creed. And then comes, hopefully George is looking down right now and saying, This is a great thing that’s happening for our country. It’s a great day for him, it’s a great day for everyone. This is a great day for everybody. This is a great, great day in terms of equality. It’s really what our Constitution requires and it’s what our country is all about.
And what he means with "this" and "a great day in terms of equality" is, that the 3 million gained jobs are equally shared by all ethnic groups and occupational categories and THAT is what makes it so great.

Two different timelines. The context is equality under the law, you assume (without any evidence but your bias) he is talking about economy.
After talking about economy, he pivoted to a discussion of the importance of equality in policing, and it was in this context that he mentioned Floyd. This means Floyd would be pleased with the country’s focus on progress toward a more equitable law enforcement environment. Hence evoking the Constitution.

Look dude, you accuse all the media and basically everyone else not to understand English, when it's you who isn't able to properly understand it. You can watch the whole 53 minutes of his speech here.
What you claim, is simply wrong.
This is a speech about the job development in May, period. And what he does is, he takes a short detour, saying that what is needed is equality under the law enforcement (which is a basic right, actually), but this is within the context of this purely economical speech. Because actually NOTHING HAPPENED to make sure equality in the law inforcement is there. NOTHING AT ALL.
What happened instead was that May brought 3 million jobs back, which is, what his speech was actually all about and what he then went on to celebrate as the great day for equality - that's what everyone riled up so much. He tried to spin the simple positive job market signals into a success story for the advancement of equality under law enforcement, claiming Floyd would also be happy about it.

oh I am sure the media and you as well understand English.
But choose to depict a very correct and non divisive speech as ... highly divisive, by implying he minimizes Floyd's death. Therefore mixing different timelines, presenting a long phrase where nor "economy" or "jobs" are present, but "equality of races" as "is a great day for Floyd to see the unemployment rate".
I could not care less if this morning, when I opened my preferred left leaning press, I wasn't served with a made-up translation of his speech. Note how they add "unemployment numbers" in parenthesis - while he DOESN'T say it, to make sure we understand the way they want to. But what to expect from a press who considers us such idiots that we need an arrow to help us find where is the president in the video.
This is not confusion, but just bad faith, lie, misleading, and all those ultimately play a huge role into fueling the actual state of hate. Its on you, deal with.

You are just ranting. If all this is just misleading, answer me this: Trump says (and this was quoted by YOU):
Quote: It’s a great day for him [Floyd], it’s a great day for everyone. This is a great day for everybody. This is a great, great day in terms of equality.
WHY was yesterday a great day for him? (He is dead, so that's nonsensical to say, anyway). WHAT MAKES IT a great day for everyone and such a great day in terms of equality? What EXACTLY makes him say that? WHAT HAPPENED yesterday to make it such a great day? Hm? How does Trump reach that conclusion? What reasons does he give to claim that?
I gave you the answer. The media gave you the answer. I'm sure you can give a different one, so go ahead, enlighten us, then, why yesterday was such an amazingly great day in terms of equality.

You didn't. I asked a simple question and you just try to tap-dance around the fact that you don't have one.
Come on - what makes yesterday such a great day for everybody in terms of equality? WHAT? Don't be shy - come on. What is it? Why should everyone rejoice now, including Floyd? Did anything happen we all missed?

All Americans united around the idea of equal justice under the law? What you see in the streets of America, what you read in the press?
This is what happened yesterday and all days since Floyd's death. There is not a single outlet/media or prominent voice who didn't condemn Floyd's death then support the protestations, where all races, genders and social classes are united together and ask for equality and justice. It is a national movement, which expanded also worldwide. Trump's words shows he noticed it and he does what any leader would do in such case, cheer its magnitude.
And no, unemployment numbers don't drop in one day, that's a complex and long process which is in constant movement - in France we didn't yet figure how to lower it by 6 digits, 30 years that they try without any success. To believe Trump has in mind "today we had the lowest unemployment therefore it is a great day for Floyd" is ridiculous, one more political stunt to bring him down.

LOL. That's hilarious, even for your standards. Utter, sheer nonsense.
You didn't even listen to what he said, didn't you?
Quote: "What we are announcing today is a tremendous tribute to equality. We're bringing our jobs back."
And then he goes on telling that before the China plague they had the highest number of jobs in all history, for African Americans, for woemen, for everybody.
Look, dude. Your opinions are not based on facts, they are based on sheer fantasy. Check your facts, check reality and stop telling nonsense and lies.

John Oliver made a video about police brutality and the problems plaguing police in general right now. Also how it got started. Also there is definitely hard language here.
... And holy snow that rant at the end.
I've been crying for the last two minutes because I. Want. To. Help. Her. That shouldn't be America. America shouldn't make that. All of that pain and anger pouring out is killing me and I hate all of this.
