Elvin said: Darkness is hip nowadays and Ashan is verry dark. To the team's credit though, they focus a lot on opportunism and the shroud supports that kind of gameplay so..
Completely disagree. Ashan is a grey mess with frequent moments of silliness, not dark by any stretch. The M&M team aiming for that is pretty much in the dark about Heroes legacy and what Heroes is supposed to be.

People are bringing up MLP?
WITHOUT ME!?
Elvin said: Lol I was just kidding. I have no idea what you are talking about ^^
This is what's being talked about
It can get somewhat Dark at times, for example the pilot episodes has a villain whose goal is to create endless night which would result in everyone eventually dying and the Season 5 pilot was about a brainwashing cult. It's certainly darker than Ashan

Even the villain is called Erebos! We are talking some serious darkness here!
I was actually happy that MMX was lighter in tone, it did a favour to the series.

@Keldaur @Elvin
About silly flanking system, I wrote something in this direction on the official English forum. I ask you to support me, and add explanations if you are able to do in the shakespear langage (and if you tried it in the beta).

How does flanking actually work? Two creatures continually circling each other is silly so i hope It's only possible when another creature is already tying it up.

Big one at that. With respects to Heroes, they should try getting the Heroes feel of old. Not high fantasy, not dark fantasy, but medieval fantasy.

I didnt mind the flanking when playing beta, except for times when creatures bugged out and didnt attack from the direction i choose. Since both start on each side of the battlefield, flanking dont come into play untill a bit into the fight. And since both sides often have many stacks its not just two units cirkling each other. Often you "team up" on a unit, or use spells or skills that alters the course of the battle. Its seldom just a matter of melee bashing each other to death while running in cirkles. Also, if u attack a unit from behind it will face the attacker when retaliating. Leaving its back open to the other side. So if a fast flier/teleporter can flank an aproaching unit it opens up flanking for another melee unit meaning no cirkling at all, except for the victim ofc. That in turn leaves the filer open for flanking so its always a matter of planing ahead.
I think it adds a layer of tactical depth to these types of games. Unit placement and battlefield obstacles becomes more important. And abilities, spells and skills gets yet another circumstance to affect. Flies and teleporters also get an added avantage. Its not like its new either, final fantasy tactics for example and similar tactical RPG:s have had flanking and i didnt mind it there either.

Was one of the reasons (the another, the huge amount of bugs) that made to ask for a refund on the pre order. And that's exactly how it works in game. I guess they thought that would encourage more creative use of terrain and the edges of the "tabletop", but the difference in damage is pretty big if you are not flanking, so keeping yourself static is a big nono.
