Personally I think all of these factionspecific skills are just weird. This is probably the worst one though...

I was gonna say dungeon racial sounds totally useless compared to others until I read expert, master and GM abilities. It seems dungeon is all about making coordinated strike against single unit(s) with the whole army. Use hero attack to make confusion(or can be replaced with dead angle too basically), strike with unit to apply weak spot, get extra turn for everybody with coordination and since none got retaliated against they all got shroud again next turn with hide. And repeat. This kinda leaves smoke bomb fairly meaningless since it probably hits only unit or two. Mephitic scent seems very odd ability for dungeon which has been more about quality than quantity, but maybe dungeon is more about numbers this time...?(sounds very crappy ability to be honest).

I'm glad to see no war-machine abilities here, they started to look like a pattern already. Not that happy to see 3rd racial of somewhat similar type(sylvan and orcs being others. Also haven is a bit similar). I really wish they made the racials feel more unique

It sounds very powerfull, if no attack triggers retaliation. But can somebody tell me if dungeon is purely focused on units, or it still has the strong destructive magic ?? What about magic heroes abilities ?

Not sure, but I think it went to the Inferno in H6, though I might be wrong. Dungeon is now about the stealth, as we can see.

Why would you think that dungeon has anything to do with destructive magic??? Don't tell me you've been playing those crappy old games which Ubi/Limbic is working hard to forget and toss aside?!? You must realize that Limbic/Ubi vision is that dungeon is all about dark magic, stealth and poison! Even the old crappy h5 is considered non-canon as it just isn't h6..! You must understand that h6 is the holy gospel from heavens for us to enjoy and everything must be done to respect it and continue its disgraceful existence

Yes, Inferno recived the "warlock" hero class in H6. And with it the aptitude for destructive magic. Dungeon is now primarily stealth and debuffs, dark magic.

Dwarves probably has strong destructive magic aswell, if MMX is any indication.

As stated many times by others, i too think that the dungeon racial is overpowered :/ But i kinda like the mechanics of it. Precise strikes with high damage is something that suits dungeon very well.

But i also would like them to have their strong offensive magic abilities. I mean what is a Warlock without powerful magic and spells... I guess we will have to wait and see what the heroes are all about.

And before someone marches in and says "you cant have both, strong magic and high damage attacks!", i can and im willing to give up or sacrifice dungeons defense values and health points for that. Fair deal if executed properly

it's pretty funny how upside down they managed to blunder their way into making it, both Inferno and Necropolis as the traditional "unholy" factions are way better candidates for evil/curse magic as opposed to holy/blessings, and Dungeon was always the destructive faction in the NWC vision, I doubt Ubisoft even heard of the infamous Warlock bombs tactic lol

@Verriker Well up till h6 the faction roles and magic types basically stayed the same in most ways. It was only in h6 and h7 they really changed things with the new skill-tree, specialization and tier-systems they put in place

I really like the black & golden design of the dragon. Reminds me of Heroes 2. Dungeon overall is not bad actually.

Well, having Dungeon creatures as ones dealing sneak attacks through flanking, I guess this skill could work, as an idea (not how it is being handled, though). But then creatures have to be underpowered, with less abilities and stats below other creatures of different factions.

I think it will be balanced factoin vs. faction, but it will be very easy to fight against neutral unless there will be really big neutral stack numbers
