As seen on an Italian games website, although it's the Italian version of IGN...
But anyway: WOHOO! GO ITALY!
I'd like to point out that the article goes like this:
- The timeline is confusing and convoluted, the game appears to be before the fifth despite being the seventh
- There was only the Haven campaign and any other campaign would crash to the desktop after the presentation
- Campaign saves weren't working
- Online multiplayer was broken
- Soulless and not animated characters during cutscenes
- The music is "sufficiently epic" and but not memorable
- The map is incredibly detailed, to the point of sometimes not being able to distinguish the resources
This may be because it was a press release...

That's more of an issue with those resources than anything else, though. The graphics don't stand out from eachother, on the adventure map they're not colored in the same way as on the resource bar at the top of the screen.
Yesterday I was looking for that red looking metal (forgot what it was named) and I couldn't find it. I did see something that looked like standard Ore - or at least I thought it was that - but when I picked it up I found that it was one of those metals I was looking for.
They really need to alter coloring on those resources on the adventure map to tell them apart more easily.

@Maurice I got even better idea: Let's for once say screw the lore and bring back the classic resources!(No, I don't mean single-rare system from h6 as devs would most likely read that) The old resources were easily told apart from each other, they had different color schematics and different names from each other. I seriously struggle to remember the new resources. If I look what resources I need, I pretty much have to tell myself "4 red things", "1 blue thing" and 4 ore. I mean why on gods green earth would you make 2 rares have "dragon" in the name and 2 rares have "steel" on the name?!?!!? When they introduced the resource names last year I was already saying and thinking that devs gotta be trolling with the names

Ashanification of the highest degree.. And I'm not even joking. Too much Ashan this Ashan that, to the point it's getting tiresome.

Heck, instead of renaming resources, why not make one more? Say, platinum.

I wholeheartedly agree, I just didn't want to put it down so obvious .
When I think of the resource piles in H3 for instance, they were all clearly identifiable. Each had not only a distinct color, but also a distinct shape.

In my opinion they should make the resources more different, as far as I understand (I don't have the beta) they made basically crystals and three metals (right?), why didn't they make something that looked like powder? Or a liquid material?
I'm not talking about naming them Sulfur and Mercury strictly, but they could name them something like:
-Starpowder and Quicksilver
-Earth Root and Diamond Water
-Sky Sand and Marine blood
-Red Pepper and Coca Cola
-Dragon Powder and Dragon blood
...
Maybe not the last ones though

I got better ideas:
-cocaine and meth
-weed and krokodil
-ketamine and LSD
because clearly the lore is on drugs

and as you played the beta, how did you find the AI? is it slow as in heroes 5?
Yes, AI are slow taking their turns (slower than H5). It's like is the computer really pausing and thinking what to do

You meant to say it's thinking what it shouldn't do and then doing it, right? I have yet to see even single smart thing the AI has done... It didn't want my empty town(I could've teleported in but anyway)... Once I brought my army closer, he came next to me with 4 heroes... And did nothing... And after I killed them he just kept bringing new empty or almost empty heroes for slaughter... Never bought a new main army either as far as I could tell... another comp never left his area... They never really leveled up their hero either... Or collected stuff... they just pretty much kept taking garrison gates and try steal my map dwelling till I build fort... If you blindly kept clicking on the map you would probably end up playing better game than AI(hard difficulty). There just might be a slight room for improvement in this department(among many other aspects)

seriosly, new resources are demanded. They're terrible. three of them looks exactly the same (the metal, the meteor stuff and ore), two are very similar (Wood and the other, brown metal) and the names are completely unforgettable meaning you have no idea what it is you actually need at a glance and sure as hell can't remember when you're out looking for them. It's bad game-design even. Clarity is thrown out the window for no reason what so ever. The new resource make no sense and make the game worse. what's the damn pint of them? Easily the biggest concern for me right now (after the limited skill pizza).

I wouldn't ask too much for name changing of resources. We may end up with spidersteel or spiderblood.
