And a proof, of course.

Takes a while post-launch to collect information, to fix things we needed to fix, to discover stuff that was missed in the initial testing and fix it. We're not talking you fix like 10 things a day and with 10 people you've fixed 100 issues in one day, stuff simply doesn't happen like that. On top of that reproducing issues takes time. So because of this the first patch was always going to be a 'big one' if you like that would take longer, however the rest will not follow suit, because that's not how it needs to be anymore.
I mean it's a snowty situation for you the players, waiting for patches and us, waiting for everything to be ok'd. Thing is it's better for us to just get it done right, than rush and it cause more issues. Just how it goes, believe me if the patch could have been out Monday and it not have caused major issues, it would have been.

I guess they could release at least AI speed up patch if it works. That is something that people will notice right away and it would buy some time for rest of the patch without negative feedback.

gomaki said: Ok so I'm not one to beat around the bush. Patch is being pushed back a little from the expected date because during the testing process we found 2 major issues. We then had the choice of pushing that patch, with these 2 major issues found, out to you guys and having people experience them, creating more of a snow storm, or wait, push back and get a patch with those issues fixed. So we went that route.
However in going that route the patch then has to be retested so other random stuff doesn't just pop up, which is extremely common in the 'building' process of these things, such is the life of software development.
So essentially that's what we're doing. I'm not giving anyone dates or ETAs because who knows what might crop up, we are looking good though (touch wood) and you'll not be waiting long (read week/s) This patch will then be followed by some quick fire ones rather than a big boy all the time.
After that we still have patch support 'road map' if you will, so it's not like we do this and stop.
This isn't even the statement I wrote up as i've been waiting as long as you guys to find out what is happening. This is the earliest I could provide info.
I can't say that i'm not bummed about the delay, but I agree with your course of action.
Thanks for the update!

I'm kidding of course, but that did cross my thoughts when I launched H6 for the first time and saw the abomination it was.

Sad to hear that your culture doesn't give you a sense to feel the borderline between fun and insult. And the saddest thing that no one can point you at it and ask you to stop and pull back, because you will say that you are having fun, and your culture and education allows you to do so. Like it's only you and no one else in the room.

I have my own stops and goes. If someone don't share my sense of humour, that's non of my problem. For sure I have authorities in my life whose opinion is important to me. But you are not the one, sorry. I believe I'm older than you. And wiser too (irony (since you face problems in understanding it)).
So you are just repeatedly saying that we've crossed the line and neither on SC nor here you gave an example of how exactly we did it. I can't just figure it out and my arguments are all uncovered. So I have a feeling that you are trying to show your subjective vision as an ultimate truth. (Just like St. Erwan huehuehuehue (oh what a shame: I'm insulting again).

Not as truth, but apparently it's my subjective vision. And everything I did is just pointed at that from someones perspective your actions doesn't look like something acceptable. It is up to you to decide whether you react somehow on this remark, or ignore it. Simple.

Hell, I'd kill for HoMM game kickstarted like Pillars of Eternity...
On the off-topic, what was the point of beta-test when they didn't listen to the testers then? If your testers say that the game is not snowing ready - it is not snowing ready. It's simple as snow, not a snowing quantum physics! Maybe you should actually postpone the release, idk?
Also, am I the only one actually typing "snow" (as in a weather effect), since it will replace the F-words anyway, and finding it bloody funny?

That wasn't around you. That was around the whole moralists_crew. So don't feel like I'm appealing personally to you. It's a generalization.
