I might have missed it when reading the change log, but what was that gomaki mentioned was 'awesome' and things that he didn't know could have been pushed and done were done etc, etc, etc. What are those in that list? Checking the whole log, I almost dozed off.

Those supposedly "awesome" things are for future patches. At some point he mentioned that the things he was talking about were not coming with the 1.7 patch.

Never trust Ubi CMs. Learned that lesson while playing DoC, still applies here. They're paid to lie to us and get away with it.

Everyone had good guesses, and all of the guesses are better options than what we got.
After all the complaints about how unimaginative and boring the hero specials were, the promises to work on them, and the slight improvements they've had with the new heroes from patch 1.6...Geneieve's hero special is..*drum roll**...
Hero starts with + 4 spell power

he just meant the band-aid for the skillwheel and probably other minor garbage like sim turns which you would automatically expect in a Heroes release anyway, they borrow Peter to pay Paul, it will not turn around the irredeemably boring core game lol

DoC was the most shameless destruction of a good game with actual good design behind it. I can't even believe they managed to screwed what seemed to be an incredibly promising card game which was ten times better than Heartstone. Those Blue Byte wiseguys took over and made the game literally unplayable, chasing away their established fanbase and then announcing the end of extra patches because everyone lost interest. I mean, really? They had such a good thing going on and they destroyed it that way?

Does anyone have weird looking main menu? I can see throne room above and below menu panel so it looks weird and unfinished.

I actually found Heroes Online quite good, considering it was both free and also a great excuse to have heroes combat gameplay fun in a sort of more RPG type setup. Shame it was left in eternal beta.

Look, the problm with FTP games is that if no one spends money on the game it doesn't work - no one is paying for all the work and servers and whatnot. So the aim with making a FTP game isn't making a good game - it's making a game people will spend money on, even though it's ftp. Which makes it difficult: you must have a game good enough ao that a lot want to play it - and you want it to become a lot better when you invest money, without feeling screwed over.
Also the game must go on. They started with 2 factions. You could basically play the same campaign from 2 different point of views - and you'd expect them to add factions...
Apart of that - I found the game boring like hell.
