Finished Unity campaign some thoughs.
First-of-all, thank you, Marzhin, the campaign is interesting to play. Map design is good, didn't encounter any bugs. The difficulty was fine, with some sharp spikes. The last battle(s) were clutch. Can't wait for the second tale.
The story is great, the writing, the cutscenes - I already said before that I prefer the textbox story to animated cutscenes or voiced dialogue, adds much more character to the proceedings. Thanks for spending money on the music, it's worth it. Don't have issues with Infernopolis, I think the town screens looked appalling already so slash away at those spider legs.
(Spoilers!)
It's too bad the campaign didn't make it into Heroes 4, because I found the story of change from Elemental Magic schools of Enroth to Unity magic schools of Axeoth very compelling and really adding to the "then-new" world. I guess it doesn't allow for good map diversity, there is not one proper conquest map here.
I think that if we're to take Ashan (or hopefully another, more original world) any seriously, we really need more stories like this, establishing stories of countries, relationships, magics, and not big battles between fantasy people roughly imitating Tolkien fantasy setting.

Liking this game and expressing it here is provoking.. Hmmm Is this a russian forum?
Hermes has full right to like the game and show his satissfaction with it as well as you have a right to dislike it.
As mentioned by Hermes, this is not H7 hate topic.
Do not like H7? Fine, be negative.
Like H7? Fine, be positive.
Or anything else.
This is how most of intelligent people imagine the discussion, at least as far as I know.

I said fact from my life. Don't want to believe it - ok. But there are people there thinking HMM7 is the best.
Maybe you are jelous than HOTA team made only one new town, and now is stuck to adding new cactuses instead of making something global. And there HMM7 comes out, reducing interest in HOTA's old days glory.

I have never *ever* heard a game company would ask a government for investments.
I don't even see what would Canada even profit from all this. Considering Ubi's trend to release broken games. At least that last game, Far Cry Primal, at least looks decent enough. But what about other games - they don't receive the same amount of attention, development and money.
So, in all of this, I hope Vivendi succeeds, to let us witness the downfall of Ubisoft, to finally conclude the chapter and that everyone just moves on - as should the Might and Magic franchise.

It's not the first time in case of Ubi...
EDIT:
...and lol!
Quote: A French newspaper reported last week the government was working actively behind the scenes to encourage France's largest media group Vivendi Universal (EAUG.PA: Quote, Profile, Research) to act as a so-called white knight for Ubisoft in the event of a hostile bid.
