Antalyan said:Are you going to delete the provocations against the Might & Magic (former) creative director? Just curious, then the amount of pages could decrease really much
Lol, no, unless they're turning into personal threats or call for physical violence or something like that. Erwan isn't a member on these forums and what he doesn't read, can't really hurt him either. If he does read it and takes offense, though, he's of course free to contact us and ask us to take action. I don't think he really needs defenders to speak up for him anyway.
But I thought someone said Erwin is actually reading the comments. Then again, they also said he just skips some.

Yeah. And Humans from the real world.
The fact that there were creatures that had appeared in many other fantasy environments is not in question - only what was done with them. The NWC had original concepts for each of their factions that weren't entirely reminiscent of others in other universes. Ubi's are stereotypical and full of clichés on purpose.
EnergyZ said:Well, you would be partially right, but only because towns have one "main" race and a few additions. Even Inferno had them efreet and kreegans (which aren't the same).
Actually, Gogs were an exeption as well. Only 4 out of 7 Inferno creatures were kreegans, and that's a pretty extreme amount by H3 standards. The only kinda exception to the rule about "themes not races" in the NWC games was Knight/Castle/Haven, but then you also have to take into account that it wasn't a town representing humans but only some of them following chivalric ideals, there were humans living in all the other nations as well. Rampart/Preserve, Tower/Academy, Fortress, Stronghold, Conflux, Dungeon/Asylum, Inferno, Necropolis - all were essentially multiracial and had humans and in several cases elves as well - only bound together by different ideals.
Thank goodness for Maurice as a mod. Makes me feel like reason, arguments and good conduct are rewarded. Let's keep him forever.
____________ Guide to a Great Heroes Game The Young Traveler
For those of you who feel the need to get personal with other members: either review the CoC or get a room . In the mean time, the rest of us can defend or attack Ashan in a civil manner.
It's hard to say that there will be a second addition. Considering how Ubi just gave two MM games, one for mobile and the other for China. It easily could've been just a typo.
I think it is worth checking out Ubilimbic contract. After all, they did sign to make one add-on, right? Maybe they could make another one, per contract. Although knowing Marzhin lost his job, things could be taking a turn, for better or worse.

I believe it is not a time to put an end with H7 yet.
Why? Due the numbering?

cheers Maurice mate the man with the plan and the level head, you're not revered across the lands as the Last Reasonable Steward Of Good Game Design for nothing mate lol
Erwin has stated in this cringeworthy video that he does not read any community forums, likely because they would challenge his glorious vision of Heroes, at a later date he gave a shoutout that he knows what HC is but that was mere pandering lol
____________
Yeah, and add dark emo elves and a dark dragon goddess and make them cast dark magic than offensive spells. *That* is the Ashan Dungeon.
Yes, dark emo elves replacing dark emo humans. The biggest thematical change was adding Malassa (which gp wise amounts to nothing, post h5) and changing the magics they wield (which is kinda more thematically fitting for a cavern-living faction)

As a critcism i can actually agree with it regarding H5. But afterwards not so much. Assassin dates back to H4 Chaos town and Druid to H1. Making them elves doesnt really change that much

And? They're still ripoff from the originals i mentioned lol.

I think we'll just have to see what UbiSoft is going to do. The game's future looks bleak, given how poorly the vanilla game has been received and with Trial by Fire, the turn-about doesn't really appear to happen just yet. But with Vivendi lurking at their perimeter, it's not unlikely to consider that UbiSoft might try and consolidate their position by focussing on their core products, cutting loose some excess baggage. The Heroes franchise seems to be in the latter category. We'll have to see how that Vivendi business will fare, regardless of the game itself.

Thread cleaned up, try and keep it tidy, folks.
then this is okay, unless challenged by Erwin himself

What, software running a on multitude of completely different hardware and OS has some bugs? Unthinkable!
2. Listen, mate, spare me your BS. It's the same BS Limbic guys are spreading on Steam.
I can tell you one thing regarding this BS: I've been a freelance translator for almost 15 years. And my prices are way above the medium price on the national translation market. If I would be delivering my clients jobs finished the same way as BSoft and Limbic delivered their bugware, I would be out of business in two weeks. So, I repeat, spare me the BS, I don't know much about coding, but I know plenty about being very good at what you do and and about being able to do it properly. This Limbosoft conglomerate is unable to fulfill either of these prerequisites.
If any of the grown-up guys reading this forum would be delivering tasks at their jobs the same way as BSoft and Limbic delivered their bugware, this forum would be crowding with unemployed people. So, again, save it for someone else.
Side note: we are ONE BLOODY YEAR after the freaking release, and none of the bugs they so tenderheartedly fixed for you, the players of their bugware, should have been there from the goddamn beginning
And another side note: if any of the Limbic guys working on this product would have been hired to deliver a software and he would have delivered it in the state H7 was/is delivered, do you honestly believe he would have gotten another assignment from the same client? This is the question Limbosoft employees and their defenders should ask themselves in the first place. Instead of retorting that "it's software, it has bugs".
Really, that's a slave attitude: defending the one snowting on your head for not doing it harder and for last cleaning your forehead from time to time. LOL
Hermes said:I'm actually looking forward to HoAO just to see how unplayable that game will be if it ever releases at all lol.
This just shows the level of frustration I was talking about
1. Edit Maurice: removed the veiled provocation
2. Just shows once again that you have no idea how much work game development is if you compare run of the mill CS business to millions of lines of dependable code.
Don't even have to go far - look at critically acclaimed games like XCOM 2 and Dragon Age Inqusition and how many bugs these games still have.
3. Can you just stop giving me your BS and let be real for a second here. Most of people on this forum hated H7 before it even released just for not giving in to pressure and not abandoning its own carefully created world in favour of nonsensical one from 1990s.
It worked like this:
Voting for a faction or creature line up just led to people who didn't get what they wanted to whine. And to whine some more for not having story to take place where they wanted, or for skills not working in the exact way THEY wanted, etc.
Instead of thanking the devs that such process was even PART of the development.
P.s. Thanks Maurice for getting rid of these herpes provocations all right!
