Plus I don't like those masks, what's with ubi hiding faces? I much prefered the classic hero look, without covered by unnecessary baubles, accessories and headgear. Does it break the immersion so much when the model does not match the portrait? For me it's much worse seeing 'faceless' heroes on the battlefield.
So what if all H3 wizards had a beard or all rangers had blond hair? Less is more..

Yes who wouldn't want to look at a cute face like this.
Although he is partially faceless but not in the way you mentioned.

You are only saying that because we didn't have a really good deathknight since H3. I could even imagine them as champion like the Swordbearer from Heaven but mounted ofcourse.
