Why should they? In my opinion, new genies look fine. Thankfully, they have heads, in comparison to HoMM 5 djinns. Also, they are no more that muscular - nice abs were supposed to be domain (I am talking only about Academy) of Titans and Rakshasas, and them only.
I'm still not feeling them. I hope they'll be in Core and Apprentice and Golems are elite.

It all comes to what Genies are. If they are also spellcasters, then it makes sense to leave apprentices in core. But if Genies are something else, then I'm all for having them in Elite.
Guess we'll have the answers in over 2 weeks.

I see your point, though I don't see much trouble with Academy having 2 spellcasters in Elite as it is the most magic-oriented faction I believe ?
(Genies using good magic and Disciples using destructive)

I just realized how well the Psychic/Magic Elemental would've fitted into current Academy appearance-wise.
Those were pretty baller.

I know that, but since it should have been public knowledge that Djinn are Elite Tier Creatures, we don't need insiders to confirm that.
Also it was a petty jibe at, even if it's just me, the idea that every time an insider leaks, it seems to be one of the Ruskies

Well yes, but it'd be a bit of an overkill I think. I wouldn't be against two spellcasters, but on different tiers (somewhat like H4).

I don't : different units, different spells, different abilities, different way of playing them.
Anyway I see neither Genie nor Disciples in core
