It's not the wiser thing at all, that's the point! You get models, you criticize. The end! If you don't want to voice your opinion, be my guest, but don't pretend it's "the wiser thing to do", it's not. They expect reactions, that's the point of feedback, lol.
Sorry, I know you're a good guy but you kinda asked for it. Here's something to cheer you up tho:

You've said numerous times in Necropolis thread and elsewhere to hold our judgement until upgrades are released, or told people to relax. For future reference, don't forget that.
I'm gona stop commenting on anything regarding necropolis till this topic won't end.
People are so hungry for blood that its not safe around here.
Are you secretly working for Ubisoft or something?
Is your empathy enslaved by them so you feel all the hate towards them as it is against your own life?

No, to quote you, you said "Let's wait till we see upgraded vampire & lich after that you guys can release hell hounds.", why should we wait? The upgrades doesn't change anything with the crap look of non-upgrades.

I'm gonna join the train:
Academy units are awesome, this is clearly a win and I can't wait to play this faction
On the other hand, Necro units are meh... the fate spider was the most interesting necro unit in H6 and you gave up on her while you kept those bad-looking vampires and lamasu (I'm OK with the Lich however, don't understand the hate on them).

But if i tell you that jumping from bridge is good to your health you will do it?
It's proposition not saying you have to do it.
Anyway got tired of commenting for a while.

Strange, as that Lich is by far the worst thing ever happening to the HOMm franchise.

Also: please give us "simultaneous turns" back.
H6 killed the multiplayer aspect of the game by not having this. There are more players playing H5 right now than H6...
Even better, be innovative and add the "permanent simultaneous turn" even when players can meet. They did this in the Civilization franchise and the multiplayer aspect of the game has never been so popular

The Fate Weaver had a problem.
It just had too many special abilities, and Ubisoft only wanted 2 (in the end only 1, because Undead, Construct and all that crap doesn't count) abilities for each unit, because they couldn't pay for more.
The Fate Weaver was to complex and cool to be in HOMM7. Sorry for breaking your little heart.

You still used that as an argument to wait with judgement, which I originally pointed out I did not understand as it doesn't change anything with the basic creatures. Which you repelled into defence saying you never said such. And here we are, with an all low mature "jumping off the bridge" argument.
I'll take that as there's no good reason to wait.

I hate everything HOMM6, but I seriously start to love that game now when I compare it to the horror that is starting to form into HOMM7.
The first recycles (the thing I feared most) are sneaking behind the corners, so that means more will follow soon.
Expect green minotaur, black dragon and slave elf models in 1. 2. 3.

I'm happy with most things so far, except this recycling. It's still a long way until I'll rank H6 over this (based on what we know so far, of course)

It seems that they only changed the haven, I reocognize all the models from the Academy from OLD fantart, so that means they were probably for an expansion they never released, and so are probably re-used models.
I'm sure many of the models for Stronghold and Dungeon are gonna be re-used and re-colored models. Especially after seeing the horrible lich and vampires back, and the stupid error that is the Lammasu, you can't have hope anymore.
It seem they showed the best part of hoMM7 already and that is the Haven town, while it is still the most boring town, so they better would have given a more favorite town some credits and updates.

Stevie said: Tables with stats, rofl.
When you move your mouse cursor over a specific spot, you see on monitor, and click on a bunched up pixels, the immaginary die roll will be cast in the background, and program will preform several calculations, which will be compared to the particular stats in the table, which will determine the result...
"2 Vampires perish..."
And that's basicaly what happens. If calcualtions are preformed wrong, or stats are imputed into them are dissproportional, then one "creature" or a specific stat even, becomes too week or too strong, in which case it can be abused by the player. It is known as balance issue. Or simply, it can make certain ability or creature unusable or not used as intended.
Based on stats and abilities (which are a way how certain creatures use or reject the game rules), strategies can be employed by the gamer. If the stats and abilities are designed in a good way, then it encourages the players to inovate and use diferent aproaches.
Up to this point, one can make objective assumptions, if the game works properly and is good, or that it fails to deliver.
Art is by definition a subjective matter. And if you don't like particular creature is up to you and you alone. Sure. Sometimes a lot of people can hate certain design, but that does not imply all of them.
This is why, in gaming review sites, you will notice noone that has any credibility will rate a game based on it's looks. IGN will not say "they ruined the Vampire" and rate it low for that. And if the do, their review is very poor.
You can however (and I do) call them on their bullsnow if they reuse the same models from previous game and charge it at full price. That's the sort of corporate greed that I do not support. And if they do, they better have a good justification for it. This goes for all the factions tho, be it Necropolis or Haven.
I'm not saying that art is completly unimportant. If you think that you missed my point. It is however not the main thing. Gameplay always prevails at the end, atleast for me. I for example absolutley disslike H5 art style, and I do feel H6 was a big step up. But H5's gameplay is far superior to anything H6 can provide. This is why I like one game (H5), but disslike the other (H6), despite the pretty pictures.

I so not agree with this. Art is a very important role in everything.
If not they could just recycle the homm1 sprites over and over again, as its only for the gameplay anyway....
Also watch them charge the FULL 60 euro's for this game. You wanna know why?
In that way they earn more money, so they can start working on HOMM8, which will be known as The Recycle of Ashan II, everything will be recycled from homm7 and a recycled town from homm6 that didn't make it into homm7 will be added, all because more and more people grew tired of ashan and ubisoft and didn't want to spoil 60 euroes on the game.
But homm7 will do well on torrent sites. Probably, but for me it wouldn't even be worth the download time.
Btw, I can't believe I said all those horrible things about the HOMM6 vampires while my own freaking avatar was a HOMM6 vampire all along, guess why? It was a random pick.
