Interesting read, once again.
Though I disagree with Pawek here, the attempt on the Falcon boy's life seems more his style and goal. Think about it, if the balance between chaos and order is lost, that would serve his goals. Putting Seamus on the throne would serve what exactly?

It would be no surprise to me if Seamus's plan was plotted by our favourite little Nethermancer...
Also we finally know how Stefan became Ivan ally.

He might not care about who sits at throne, but hopes that Brendan might became victim of war?
Altough its to sloppy for him.

That's a pretty loose end. You don't back someone in the hope that by coincidence someone barely involved in the struggle by that point becomes a casualty.

As far as the assasination on Brendan goes, that might well be Sandro, as I said before.
Seamus' bid for the throne is presumably masterminded by Seamus himself and/or (one of) his courtiers.

What Seamus would gain while cooperating with Sandro? First of all, a powerful wizard that would come in handy during battles. Secondly, he would be able to use his power to change the attitude of society towards some unpopular policies by, for example, erasing some o tchem from their dimension.
In case of Sandro, he would be able to have some safe haven in which he would be able to conduct his experiments with the Void. More importantly, he would be able to partially control politics of the most important state in the whole of Thallan, that shares borders with all other countries, which would give a great opportunity to bring chaos and destruction upon whole Thallan, which is basically his aim.

I think it would be good if all this somehow made it into the game. As a Specal In campaigne quest to gether parts of the story? would be nice.

Is it weird that the thing that interested me the most in that article was the detail that Chillbury (the town I typically got when playing H5 scenarios) is located in Wolf Duchy?

I would disagree. Void magic experimentation is something highly mistrusted. Doing it in the open, even with protection from someone high upon the socio-political ladder, will soon enough result in someone trying to stop you. Staying hidden would serve that purpose better. Afterall, Sandro has done so for several centuries already.
As far as having a manipulable minion on the Imperial Throne, that is possible. But I think you overestimate the importance of the Empire. It's not like if the Empire does, the rest follows, like the USA IRL. The diplomatic ties between the large "countries" of Thallan are thin at best and the Empire has little if any influence on them. Further more, many other "Countries" have already sided with Ivan, even if it is unofficially.

What would Sandro have to gain by tipping the balance in favor of demons again?
I personally believe it's Raelag's doing. It provides a better connection between the reported Dark Elves and the motive of killing Brendan. I suspect Raelag's turning to demon worship happened at about this time also. I'm not sure tho, this is all speculation.
But honestly I don't see what Sandro would gain from all of this.

That might be a possiblity as well, I'll readily admit. If this is the time Realag and the Soulscar turned to siding with Kha-Beleth, they maigh well do this to gain favor with their new master.
As for what Sandro has to gain, he does have this personal vendetta against Asha, so that helps. He wants to remove the Veil altogether and do away with the Gods. The Demons have a pretty similar purpose. But I think that, if it is the case that Sandro is behind the assassination attempt on Brendan, that helping the Demons is an unfortunate but not unmanageable consequence. I think Sandro just does this because he wants to ruin the Gods' plans.

Quote: And so Malassa and the Faceless turned their magic against the Angels... And their betrayal saved the children of Chaos...
It was not all that they saved. The Faceless knew that if the Demons were destroyed and Chaos returned to the Void, the All and Everything, Asha's Creation, would implode upon itself. Order is nothing without Chaos.
As the Angels were about to eliminate the demons once and for all, the Faceless realized Ashan couldn't exist without the balance between Order and Chaos. They decided to betray the other dragons and attack the Angels, allowing the Demons to escape. This unfathomable betrayal is the cause of the Angels' hatred of the Faceless
