Too bad he couldn't implement gods as interesting the greek ones.
I think Ashan would be a lot more interesting if gods went around the land, randomly impregnating women while in horse form and did other such crazy things. A lot better origin story for the minotaur and centaur if you ask me. None of this dragonblood crystal and created-by-wizards rubbish.

Gerhart and Ivan are doing a pretty good job at that though.

This is where my personal ignorance prevails, as I always immagine this is how things actualy are in Ashan. Like I said, the less you read, the better off you are

I wouldn't call having sex with everything that moves interesting. Besides, in Greek mythology there is also a heavy dose of forging and creating something from nothing, like in case of Prometheus making humans out of clay and Pandora.

Say what you want about greek gods but they had personalities. The fact that they boned anything that moved was just the icing on the cake.
Most of them were egomaniacal snows at best and complete a-holes at worst but man were they interesting. The petty wars the waged on eachother for fun was an endless source of entertainment. And the best thing about them was that they still retained mortal flaws, making them instantly relatable unlike any of the dragon gods we currently have.
I still don't really get why the mortal races pray to their respective gods other then they were supposedly created by them to serve them. The humans ditched Sylath pretty early for Elrath for no friggin reason whatsoever. Infact none of the gods have any personalities to speak of so I don't see why humans couldn't worship multiple gods at the same time. The gods themselves obviously don't give a damn. To the best of my knowledge there is nothing that can really harm them and they suffer no loss of power if they get worshipped or not.

It's like with football clubs: you worship what all the others do where you're born at.

I'll agree that knowing the face of a community manager/whatever you are is advantageous and builds trust but going into creepy stalkerish mode is not part of that frankly. commenting on someones looks on an internet games forum definitely crosses that line. It can be a bit troublesome but that might be a discussion for another time.
I personally take the approach of "the proson looks like her atvar, or similar. kiryu here look for me a lot like a Justicara and for me, that makes the world a much better place :-P

Well Jealle:
A: doesn't have an avatar yet. That's her dev tag :-P
B: Actually shared her photo (btw there is a topic dedicated to them for those who are interested and do not know yet) so that somehow undermines the idea but as soon as she gets one, My mental image will be set to that.
And that is also why I dislike when people change avatars. I always get the feeling they had some kind of major plastic surgery :-P

There is a bit of shades of grey (ehh ... let's not go there) in between though. You can just comment and remain decent and respectable; I personally don't consider that a bad thing. The other side of the spectrum is stalking and being provocative - and that's something I consider bad .
ThatRedSarah said: So far the only ones brave enough to comment with their own faces have been Verriker and War-overlord
In truth, I do not feel the urge to share my own face here on the internet . No offense, but it's unlikely I will ever see any of you guys in reallife, so I do not really see the point - if anything, it keeps up the mystique; I could be that handsome moviestar ... but well, it's more likely I'm that average looking guy you see in the bus or train every morning .

While I understand what you mean (I have the same ), I do hope I don't shock anyone when I say I'm not an old guy with grey hair ... in fact, I don't even have facial hair in reallife!

They missed Mondays before. If memory serves, last time Ubi-Nox went to HQ to (presumably) get more material and permission for posting content on the blog - Necro screenshots and whatnot.

Greek mythology is not just devoted to sex, but it is a way to deepen the significance and the creation of the world, as well as to allow a better understanding of our ordinary life, fights, desires, enterprises, dreams. Reading Ovidius's Metamorphoses has been an inspiration for art and literature throughout many centuries. Let's take for instance the story of Pandora and Epimetheus (by the way the story of Prometheus creating with clay the first men doesn't concern Pandora) : Pandora was the first created woman by Hephaistos and Athena and received from the gods all the graces and skills. But Hermes gave her a lying heart and treacherous. Zeus had in mind to punish mankind through her because Prometheus had given the divine fire to men. It is a myth explaining why women were created to bring unhappiness or destruction among the men's world. And it inspired a wonderful Ava Gardner in a 1951 movie by Albert Lewin (mingled with the myth of the Flying Dutchman, cf. Wagner)! So it is the equivalent of Eve story in the Bible to the Helena story in the War of Troy by Homer.
