Well sometimes this particular thread is, well ...
To be honest, most of the time i do find this particular thread to be really funny. Other threads are more formal and on the topic, which is nice too, but this one seems to be the one to go way off tracks quite often. And i mean off tracks in a funny fooling around way
never chance

My Artium is Historia. So I'm more of a lore person. But your compliments are flattering nonetheless.
Oh ok, i thought it had something to do with painting/drawing/illustration or something like that. But anyways you seem to know what you are talking about when it comes to Heroes games so i think your opinions would have been appreciated at the event.

Same here. It's kinda haunting in the beginning, turning into dread, the vocals have a lamenting quality to them and the end evokes a bit of despiration. All feelings that can be associated with death and, taking the other themes along, evoking feelings seems to be the aim this time around, rather than enforcing a theme.

I agree, it fits the 'mood' of the faction really well. Even if I think it isn't their best H7 work
So far I'd rate them like this:
The Elven Coronation > Hope for Green Falls > The Wizards Waltz > Mystos Mountains
They are so good...

Yeah, but that was never the theme intended for Necropolis. That's Sandro's personal theme. Created to fit HIM.

Yes, you gave the impression that you think this would be a better Necro-theme.

Danse Macabre is like really good (unlike most of H6 music), but as WO argued it reflects Sandro character, not Necropolis as a whole (much less Spiderpolis)

The more music I hear from the game, the greater feeling I have that Heroes VII is taking a lot of inspiration from Heroes II, especially when we remember that it is Marzhin's favourite Heroes game. I see what you're doing here, Marzhin...

Sometimes their music needs to grow on me through playing the game. Definitly my least favorite of what's been presented. Doesn't sound like an undead theme imho. The tempo was kinda fast and does there have to be vocals in all of them?

I see Sandro as the embodiment of what Necropolis is supposed to be. He has much more Necro flavor in his little finger than everything else in Spiderpolis combined. I can't see why people wouldn't know that about me as I, and other people as well, have been very clear on it ever since the reveal...
And in the end, it doesn't even matter as long as I consider the Jason Graves theme to be more fitting of Necropolis than Mystos Mountains, irrespective of it being Sandro's theme or not. The current one doesn't evoke the idea of "undead" to me. But I can see the appeal when looking at it from the perspective of the music in older Heroes, so I guess it works...

the music of Heroes 6 took more than a little inspiration from Heroes 2 as well, and look how that game went... if the thing you see them doing is the same thing I see, might be time to bail out now lol
