Ahh so the Vampires and Liches are being changed. When I saw the soon to be changed models I actually thought they looked quite good. However... four models that are too similar the H6 version is a bit much, so I think the fans were right here (but for the wrong reasons ).
So if the Grim Riders were Veins Bodyguards (I guess there can't be that many of them then), how are the Grim Reapers related to the Grim Riders?
Oh and while we are at it, if a skeleton dragon is a dragons body, and a spectral dragon is its spirit, then what are the ghost dragons from Heroes 5 Tribes of the East then?
So many questions so little time!

I think at some point there were some discussions about the fact "Vein" is not his true name, more a nickname he received after becoming a Vampire.

Mashing up the concepts of Wraith, Death Knight, Vampire and Reaper into one single aberration is not a win by any stretch of the imagination. It only drives people with some amount of sense away (me, LW, Sandro400, JJ, Galaad, etc.).
And what's with the attitude? Aren't you thinking you're quite crossing the line?

Overall good changes, Necropolis looks a lot better. Colours suit the faction, puurple gives a bit diversity and also it seems that main colour is now black (what is seen after choosing Necro section on official site- both the symbol and background are black)
I could complain that both vampire and lich strongly resemble the upgraded versions of M&M:Heroes 6 but have some different elements. Vampire in Heroes 6 was great (imo btter as unupgraded), now it is also bood (just like him less). Lich here is better due to better clothes and some magic stuff- now he looks more like mage. i could only complain about amount of spikes and lich's mask. But is a lot better.
even spider is not that bad and animated drgpon looks not that bad (still- face is not good, jaws shoud be longer and crest with spikes- sshorter)
Now what I do not like:
- Townscreen- the worst thing and most hated. It is the same, hope they will remaster it at least (I think it should be completely reworked. Haven's ts need some changes cause otherwise it is quite beautiful and pleasant to eyes. Necropolis is not)
- Grim reaper's scythe looks like some Darth Maul's saber- why? there is no purpouse for that, it looks more childish and stupid, not mighty and terryfying
- Grim reaper's spin attack- again a new fetish in Ashan? After having everywhere dragons (in names, symbols, pictures, religion, story and so), spider fetish in Necropolis (no other symbols were used) now almost every unit has spin attack? I would understand a unit that attack all enemies standing in reach or round the units (Landsknecht) but in case of Angel, justicar and grim reaper it is just silly. Use just normal attack!

ok things got serious! unfortunately I need to post here too. our beloved gameplay that made heroes what it is, is getting heavily affected!
ghosts without incorporeality???vamps without "no retaliation"? poor abilities and kind of rushed ones for no reason!
looks and textures etc come way second to gameplay, and they will be fixed eventually, but abilities????
I implore galaad to spam the official site about that.
please dear friend get your crazy on and go berserk on those forums. weekend is coming, in the name of CRAZEE show them that they never mess with gameplay stuff!NEVER!!!
RELEASH THE KRAKEN, heroes community this is serious!!!!!
p.s. galaad I will upvote all of your posts, one by one even if it takes a decade!

More disappointing is smaal quantity of abilities, especially when compared to Acaademy. What is worse, they are almost the same and do not give proper variety. Again only necrmoancy and undead character will distinct this faction- not battle stategy based on debuffs, weakening and so?
- skeleton is extremely boring as it was in HoMM 3- again only numbers are important. Could have (and even should have) sth more interesting like in HoMM 4- some protection against missles
- ghost is dull. I am glad that they do not have incorporetality cause it was more annoying and lenghten battles (ghosts are not damage dealers) and it was also not iconic- so I will not cry although would rather see a good debuff like slow or weakening defense.
Vigilance- could be nice and useful but it is not also sth wow- ghost are not creatures to deal with in first place and this ability is already shared with vampire (copypasting abilities again) and probably hydra (in description also no flank weakness)
- spider is nice, I like that. But spider should not be undead, it is weird (with this look at least). And would give him some other bility
- I like vampires skill. With no retaliation he was op cause even with lower stats he was too strong. With more balanced stats Necro should be fine, not only relying on vampires and necromancy but also other units and tactics. Vigilance will be fine and he still has life drain that is always welcome
- lich. Staff of disruption sounds cool and will be but, god, he is powerful undead wizard and in previou games e rocked. He should be casting spells that will poison and weaken the enemy. And what we get? No spellcasting. Has he some powerful deebuff, sth like dragon fly in HoMM 3, some dispell? Nope. Abbot seems to be more cool- a simple priest. Come on
- Lamasu is fine, aura sounds really cool (althoughhalways prefer active abiliteis to auras- player is forced to use abilities correctly and even area of effect auras are not that hard to use... what means no fun)
- Grim reaper is great, I really like him (except attack and weapon)
- Dragon. Again- aura that just does ssome damage. Nth special, better some terror ability (casting like dark champion in homm 4) or solid debuff. Soul reaver is nice utility ability- but for ghost, not for champion
- again, vampire has childish animation attack, too cool to bare it
Overall it is not that bad and together they should be useful. But from Necropolis I always want more debuffs and abilities. Unead ability, although useful, is rather nature. Living creatures do not have "living"and in theory they could- there are plenty mehanics thanks to which they gain major benefits
Especally disappointing are skeleton (completely lack of anything), ghost and lich could be better (debuffs!). Grim reaper, lamasu and spider are ok. Overall 6/10

1. Did they retcon H6 spectral dragon lore? I thought you needed to go to the spirit world to bind the dragons spirit in order to animate its bones.
2. Did anyone notice the lich losing its jaw?

Yes you can use the one that better suits you email can be easier for sharing pictures, long texts etc.

Okay, super out-there theory, but here goes...
You know how people were wondering what happens if the vampire's reverse aging makes them, well, super young? What if the Grim Riders/Reapers are logical conclusion: retaining all their powers, but becoming a nearly insubstantial being in the process? That, or there's a vampire toddler controlling things from the inside of the Grim's torso armour?

I don't think vampire toddlers exist.
AFAIK, most vampires reverse-age, yes, but that's only because they're older than their twenties when initiated.
Those who are younger continue to age until the reach their ideal age,
which is when they're at their overall healthiest, smartest, strongest, etc.
The poison apparently has the ability to see both the past and the possible future, and alter the host's body accordingly.
And least that's what I get from this silliness.
