What's with those strange helmets? Here I thought the message was clear when Stronghold magic heroes article was announced that headwear is oddly designed.
I am not saying they are heroes,
but they are ALIENS.

Actually it looks normal if you have seen how some Fire Emblem helms look.

Pf. Beats me. Unless the reason for that design is (yet again) lore.

Let me get this straight, they are copying the elves from Warhammer, but since apparently Warhammer Fantasy is implied to be a prequel to Warhammer 40k...

Oh, Susan Boyle is alive! *seeing ads*
Back on track.
I'm a bit curious, because I lost track on how things are doing with this game.
Reading the post about the racial skill of Sylvan, that Mark-thing, it looks like it's all oriented to battle. The other racial skills are also like that, strictly oriented to battle, or they have effects over other aspects of the game? I forgot some of those, but as far as I recall, they seem to be tied to battle only.

necromancy is a bit different, as in focused on what happens after a battle rather than during.

Well it most Heroes skills inevitably boil down to that all of H5's racial skills to my knowledge were the same.

I think PandaTar meant stuff like haven racial that outside of battles could upgrade unit-tiers and in battles it would enforce the retalation strike which was an ability to the racial. Some others also required setting outside of battle(sylvan, academy) so you could use the racial in-battle essentially. All racials did function in battle as you say, but some weren't purely in-battle only.

I thought more the magic hero of Craftworld Hippy to be honest.
I think they would be OP though, I mean, they can mind control enemies after all...

They also can be consumed by the Warp if they are unlucky with their magic casting, so it's ok.

Sylvan Magic Heroes are up on the website.
My memory's a little hazy, but were the full skill list for these classes data extracted too? It's a little annoying that two of the magic classes have light magic proficiency in their descriptions.

I swear, they do that on purpose. Things pop up in my mind automatically whenever they post these artwork concepts.
