Remove direwolves from haven units
What was said in the subject... Seriously - why wolves? What do they have to do with the light? Is ubi trying to play on House Stark fans sentiments? I just don't get the idea...
Dogs, hounds - of course... But wolves? Blessed by the angels? Blessed by the Elrath who pretends to be catholic God? Wut...

Haven faction is based on Wolf Duchy, and they use wolves the same way as Griffin Duchy uses Griffins. What I would like is to see are subfactions: Haven for Griffin Duchy and Haven for Wolf Duchy, but I know that it is impossible. (One can dream )

Wolves in Haven rules IMO !! I was me too first sceptical but after seeing them in gameplay vid I must say I love it ! Makes a fresh change in Haven town, good to see something more medieval and less Holywhatever

Such specific, I believe this thread belongs into the H7 forums^^
And, btw, I feel the same, though subfactiosn would be an EXCELLLENT solution imo.

Well if they're going to let men tame wolves they better not be able to make Dire-wolves and only be able to armor their pets. <L> Because the Dire-wolf is a wild-neutral that refuses to be tamed by anything.
And mummies are in somewhere else; this makes me a little wary about neutrals. H5 was very skimpy here, I'd hate to see even less. Or are they bringing back Boars, Nomads, Renegades and all the rest. <g>

I'm ambivalent on the issue. On one hand it feels like the developers are trying to rip of Game of Thrones, which is a gross violation of the game's characteristic integrity (on top of all the other bad stuff that has been done over the course of the last ten years). On the other hand, I am a passionate supporter of diversity among creatures, and would take a wolf any day over a stereotypic paladin, pikeman or angel. On the whole, I could be positive about their inclusion if there's nothing else in Haven that reminds people of Game of Thrones.

Everything is a copy of game of thrones because game of thrones is the one source of all fantasy settings.

@kayna Wut? The Song of Ice and Fire isn't that old... The base of all fantasy books are myths, legends and fairy tails. Even The Song's of Ice and Fire universe ;P

Wolves are as worthy of god's blessing as any other animal on earth. Why people have such hatred for them is an absolute mystery. You're much more likely to be killed by a bear, or even a mosquito.
Honestly, I am just glad that Ubisoft is finally sticking up for the poor animals. They've been bullied enough.

I like the wolves, they look beastly. Nothing wrong with mixing things up. I understand some people place a lot of emphasis on lore, but I'm more concerned with gameplay and I don't mind seeing the rules of the lore bended if it means we get to play with cool different creatures. Especially when you consider how many human units are already in the Haven army.
