What we should have known
Having obsessed over the poll since it started, i probably read every comment in every section up until now.. One of the biggest themes in peoples reasoning, was that Haven already filled the "Defensive" Faction role so Fortress was not needed.
And now we see how flawed that reasoning was, could of made Fortress an Offensive faction (i had argued it already would be)
It wouldnt of changed the outcome im sure, but it might of been closer. If the Defensive lineup for Sylvan wins i'll be one angry dwarf though, those masses of massive snows.

I think the main reason people didnt want Fortress is because of the way it was implemented in heroes 5 with so many boring dwarves

I'm pretty sure the main issue people had with fortress were dwarfs and more dwarfs and even more dwarfs and a gigantic dwarf.

Sylvan is Sylvan. The overall faction strategy is very different than Fortress or Haven. Even if one of the proposed line ups is a bit more defensive than the other two doesn't mean the faction suddenly turns into a tankfest.

Still more original line up than Sylvan, its a pretty petty complaint. Do they really want every faction to follow the same formula? Haven is allowed to do it because... Haven. Fortress is an Empire, they should fight like an Empire.
I wonder if they even had a line up for Fortress, concerning units. I'd like to take a peak at what they had proposed.

Never understood people who find dwarves boring. How can you dislike bearded ale masters? Anyone who's into warhammer fantasy knows that dwarves have epic siege weapons, super advanced technology, axes, crossbows, rune magic and many more.
How in the wolrd some plain shooty, lean dandy elves are so damn popular?
We could have had this
But no, must have Elf of might and magic seris. Those of you that vote for dungeon in next voting I'll personally throttle.

Strength of the Forest IS a tankfest though

I think I can finally actually see where the faction lineup polls were leading to. They purposefully bid defensive vs defensive (even though conceptually you'd think otherwise) and they will fit inferno vs dungeon as aggressive vs aggressive.

Wow, never thought of that. I'd give you a red star for being so bright, if I could

Problem is the ubi guys started the marketing all wrong: pump us up with single potential units = then release potential lineups. With no actual info we are bound to speculate on all the tidbits we get, whether that hits the developer's thought process or misses.

You must be kidding! With Green Dragons being the Dwarf Dragon of HoMM 7, I want to have a REAL Dragon in the game, ONE REAL DRAGON, so it's a must to vote Dungeon, especially with this stupid Sheogh Inferno which comes out to play once every century or so.
