Poll Question:
Vampires!
as we dont have Vampires art yet
lets speculate..
which Vampire you would like to see?
1) classical , (vampire bat like)
2) heroes 5-6 style , (with a sword)
3) new (specify)

Pretty sure this is a flawed vote. "Classical" has two different versions anyway. One is "Dracula" like, shown in H2 and H4. But there is also the Orlock/Nosferatu form in H3. Plus, the H5 Vampire is basically Dracula with a sword, but H6 is a straight up armored knight.
So, um, yeah.
By the way, I'm tied between H3 and H5. I like the others, but the H6 Vampire is too armored. Though I understand armor is beneficial, Vampires are undead and resurrect anyway, and are pretty magical. They probably don't care much anyway.

H5 is basically a warhammer dracula copy while H6 is blizzard's death knight rip off.
To be honest, I don't really care that much about vampires. I find liches much cooler. As long as they get their skeletal look back. h6 ones are terrible.
Anyway on the topic, I'd guess I'd go with the nosferatu ones from h3.

What? Where? Are we looking at the same vampires here? Warhammer looks more armored, and bald, and have bat wings, and some have tentacles... They don't look much alike at all.

& a cloak.
Of course could go with wingless/winged as basic/upgrade and the wings themselves transform into something somehow resembling a cloak.

I prefer H2/H4 style vampire. H5&6 vampire looked silly, why would a vampire need a sword or amour?

Sword - Because fangs don't bite that well through armour.
Armour - Because there are dragons, paladins and whatnot that would very much like to kill vampires. All extra defence is helpful.

I voted for classic, having the H3 version in mind.

Dude they are supernatural they have powers that are far greater than steel. They never needed weapons or armour untill H5.

I also like "Vampire Knights" more. If you are leading an army of Vampires, it is better for me to feel like an army of immortal soldiers with swords than army of grandpas that are biting, scratching you and are saying "BLAH!"...
Not saying that H3 variant can't work, I just like H5/H6 more. And overall I agree that H6 model was a lot like Death Knight from Warcraft, it should have been less armored. All that armor and especially that huge helm is an overkill.

Just because they are using weapons doesn't mean that they aren't using their skills. If we are being realistic, it isn't impossible for them to actually kill something with Sword and then suck their blood to regenerate/reanimate/whatever. They are also capable of turning into shadows/bats/fog even in armor and they are still fast since they are not walking but using those forms for mobility and still can use something like out of time from Heroes 6(ability I liked a lot actually).
The only thing that armor and sword gives them is more power against heavy armored targets and better defense against some powerful attacks, that is it, there is literally no downsides(except for the fact that some people don't imagine them that way and because of that they don't like it).

i want them to look undead. so the question is strigoi vampires being ugly and ghoul-ish or civilized pale vampires with retractable fangs?
it depends on the rest of necropolis line up.
in general i want the vampires to give off some kind of malice and death.
even if necropolis is now a "neutral" faction.
