Went for Malassa thousand faces kinda funny that the people who are annoyed in the comment section are those who wanted an elven line up.
I knew one group was going to be disappointed and that would be those who liked HV dungeon line up.

Everyone has different opinions and preference..but I am just wondering what makes most people like the Thousand Faces the most?

Personally that line up is the least appealing one to me.
1. Although I like Medusa, I don't really care much about Troglodyte as they were just level 1 creatures with nothing much special in terms of character, except for the fact they are just blind cave dwellings
2.Assassin and Stalker seem to be too similar. Just two different dark elves, probably one being male and the other being female.
If people are voting this line up due to the nostalgia of H3,
how come The Shield of Darkness is so unpopular at the present?
It has Lurkers, Troglodyte and Manticores which leads to three monsters coming back from Heroes 3. Also this line up only has one dark elf, so there's no redundancy of assassin & stalker being present together in the line up. Also, manticores were quite decent in Heroes 6.
BTW I really hate the Strider being in dungeon. A construct? It's dungeon, not academy. Moreover, the fact that Strider, Assassin and Stalker together in the Thousand faces seems really boring to me.
There is Strider in the shields too, but at least the other creatures seem to be decent. In addition, my personal dream line of the creatures were Black Dragons, Hydras, Manticores and Minotaurs in the same line up, and since shields has this line up, I can bear with Strider.
Surprisingly, the blades seem to have a decent line up as well.
I know many people are not happy with the nightmare, but I think nightmare is much better than Strider (Again, a construct in dungeon??? Does this make sense?).
Due to my personal dream line up, I really want to vote for Shields, but just because strider is in the line up, it also makes me feel like voting for the blades. I will probably end up voting for the shields, but if this is the one gets eliminated in round 1, I am definitely voting for blades during round 2.
Seriously, two similar dark elves + a construct... just for Medusa and Troglodyte? To me, it's simply not worth it.

Having looked at all the options, none of them look particularly good. I'm voting Blade, but I'm not enthusiastic about Shadow Unicorns.

I imagine the Nightmare as a phantasmal steed with black ethereal mane and tail. The attack would involve charging into a shadow portal and appearing near the target to strike it. Think it would be pretty different from the Hellsteed. Besides, didn't we have the Nightmare in Heroes 3 too? It's not a bad unit at all imo, it's actually pretty good.

Nightmare was in H3 WoG, as a replacement for Efreet IIRC (stopped playing WoG when HotA came out).
About unit's design we'll see better when they show us some art.

fyi i voted for 3d line up btw,
but i love Nightmares as a unit
and i do believe they fit dungeon better than inferno

this is not diffent opinion, this is slightly mixing all creatures to all factions on day one and being happy with it!
lets just put manticores in inferno, rename them chimeria and make a fire spitting head to it.
or lets just make griffins glowing with blue lights and put it in academy.
and all of a sudden we all agree them in their new places.

and no need to take it personal, ok?
if you are familiar with heroes games you should know that Nightmares were a unit in Asylum faction, which is pretty much dungeon
and they were moved to inferno in heroes 5 afterwards
so according to your logic they shouldnt have been moved to inferno in the first place
as for other units like griffin have changed several faction
so your "sarcasm" seems not right in this topic

I'd make all female factions but its because i like that kind of stuff, not be because of Jeremiah. I actually have all the ideas and i would make a threat about it but i know it would be derailed by him/considered flamebait 
Anyway vote Medusa, vote Malassa. If Sanctuary gets brought back it would be an excenllent time to introduce a human-like male naga spellcaster (like the lord of dragons guy of DoC) and bring back the Naga Queen (snakehaired, dracofaced 4 armed snakelady *.*)

actually it's also a Heroes 3 nod
and in Heroes 1 and 2 the Hydra was even stronger than some of the other towns' top units lol, it just wouldn't do as an elite
Choosing between Black Dragon & Hydra as your best unit is a Heroes IV nod, let's not rewrite history. In H1-2 you could have both and in H3 it was in a different town.
