I think that's supposed to be an H6-style building, not a creature.
Yeah, I can see it now. You are probably right.

Please don't rage at me for this but this is just my preferred line-up from these choices.
Core:
Skirmisher/Darkblade: melee walker with strike and return ability and no retaliation. Damage dealer.
Troglodyte/Chthonian: Earth spirit, immune to blind and with burrowing movement ability. Tank.
Shadow Lurker/Shadow Watcher: ranged attack flier with debuff abilities. Saboteur.
Elite:
Minotaur/Minotaur Guard: melee walker with preemptive strike and no retaliation. Damage dealer.
Shadow Unicorn/Nightmare: teleporter with debuff aura. Saboteur.
Medusa/Medusa Sorceress: walker with ranged attack and mesmerizing ability. Saboteur.
Champion:
Shadow Dragon/Black Dragon: flier with area of damage and debuff abilities. Saboteur.
Cave Hydra/Dark Hydra: walker with no flanks and life drain ability. Tank.
This is just my personal opinion. I prefer this because then we get too see old favorites like Medusa and Troglodyte, along with the awesome Hydra of course. It is not 50 shades of elves and we also get a new unit in Shadow Unicorns (I know it sounds kind of weird but it kind of makes sense that they would bring their unicorns when they were expelled from Irollan, how they survived undergrund however...).

I really think devs should remove (offense ), (balance) and ( defense) as titles.
This really puts players off as they are not used to Dungeon playing defensively, so they immediately vote for first or second option ( which is not bad but third is better )
I also remember how people used to vote for Dungeon ( in vs inferno ) beacuse they hopped they'll get classical dungeon back.
Now that it actually returned as a third line up, with only one elf unit, they vote the one with most elves?
What the actual hell...

Blade is a horrible line-up.
Altough both Faces and Shield are interesting, they lack the thing I love about Dungeon, which is Dark Elves. Only two dark elves in both line-ups. And the champions are the same. It only comes down to the choice between Shadow Walker-Manticore and Assassin-Medusa. And I went for Medusa. Faces for me.

So Most lineups look very similar, Core tiers look balanced and champions are all the same, so it comes down to elites for me
Mino in all lines, that's great
Line-up one-> Faceless plus S.corn. First shouldnot be a unit, the second is not to mi likings...
Line-up two-> Medusa and Construct. Sorry girl not in this world for me. (I want you in the naga town), A Construct.. eh.. well OK-ish
Line-up three-> Manticora and Construct. Now we are talking, I liked the unit in H6? The construct is Ok-ish. Plus only 1 elf. Traglodyts and Lurkers..
OK Defence got my vote. But I don't think it will make it to round 2 :-(

It must be karma since the two factions AND the Sylvan lineup I preferred won... I'm extremely disappointed with these lineups, not only because the champion set is the same in all three, but they did pull the Hydra being a champion stunt that I specifically hoped they would avoid... Don't care that it is a Heroes IV nod (just like the Nightmare retcon), it's a horrible decision and I'm sure there will be campaign maps when they will force me to choose the Hydra but otherwise...
It all seems just the rehash of Heroes VI (which was a good lineup but I expected more) with a bit of nods to H3 and H4 thrown in without any reinvention. I also can't believe they did bring back the Medusa which is believed to be a "dark naga", how uninspired can you get? I'm dreading the Necropolis lineup after this but that's a different story. Also no Shadow Witch which was the best Dark Elf unit so far.
I'm voting for The Blade from the Shadows because I want the Faceless unit in my lineup and because the retconned Nightmare is more interesting than the Troglodyte Medusa for me. Even though it is heavily "strike and return" and "no retaliation" heavy to me, weird that the Minotaur got the no retaliation over Hydra?!

So, after some thinking this is how I see it:
- Blade lineup: the least appealing to me. Two teleporters, two strike and return units, all offensive (fury)...meh. Also Shadow Unicorns, if by any miracle Blade wins, that name must be changed.
- Faces lineup: Return of Troglodyte? check. Return of Medusa? check. A healthy mix of nostalgia and new units. It also has a good mix of ranged, tank and damage dealers, without being too defensive...best one as of right now
- Shield lineup: Return of Troglodyte? check. Return of Manticores? check. Also beholders! It feels nearly as good as Faces, I wouldn't mind ending with this lineup

I also chose Faces lineup. It brings a helathy mix of Heroes V and III with an interesting addition of this robot. Although I would miss Faceless (I liked them as units), still, the mixed lineup is the best.
PS. Creation of Fark Unicorns seems a little bit absurd...

My reasoning is just about the same, for one small difference.
Namely (Trogs + Eyes + Manticores) > (Trogs + Medusa), therefore Shield > Faces.
On a different note. Shield is catching up to Blade, but Faces is taking a big lead ATM.

It's not really catching up.... It's btw 17%-19% all the time. Unless it goes over 20, i dont think it'll stand a chance.
Man I don't get this. But oh well, at least 1000 faces is leading over shadow blade.
Whatever the cost, the first line up must not win!

Unlike faction vote line-up is volatile.
Wait until we see some additional information and concept art. This vote could be resolved in last hours.

actually it's also a Heroes 3 nod
and in Heroes 1 and 2 the Hydra was even stronger than some of the other towns' top units lol, it just wouldn't do as an elite

Pretty much. I considered Blade in my earliest deliberations (my "such a hard choice" phase), but I ultimately decided against it, if mainly for the elite Faceless. The teleporting unicorns also seem weird in hindsight; it almost brings to mind the Necropolis' vampires, only with a little more stabby action with the horn like a rapier.

Yeah, Shadowcorns/Nightmares, they seem off in Dungeon. Even if Nightmares were in Asylum in IV.
So for me it comes down to Manticore > Medusa > Faceless. I'm not too keen on the Soulless either, but they putt me off less than Shadowcorns.
