say what you will, Gem succumbing to what she hates (even if it's "not quite" necromancy) is something i find rather intriguing. though this is something i know Ubi would snow up. Mutare, not so much. Mutare's not very complex

Why don't you remove the deities it probably would sound less redundant to use deityless names such as the daughter of chaos, the ranger of Irollan, and priestess of the purple dark.

I already changed Anwen and Ylaya to "the guardian of the forest" and "the priestess of darkness". Since then, I thought to leave Biara unchanged, but "the daughter of chaos" is incredibly cool. I'll go with that.

You know, I was thinking about the exact way in which Mutare would try to obtain her power over dragons. Articun said that she would be searching for artifacts, but... this is a rather vague term.
How was she able to control dragons originally? I know that she became a dragon by drinking a vial, but I would like to know the exact way she used to gather the dragons under her service and possibly use that as a reference/inspiration.
Stil, I have several ideas. First one is that she would need to search for the pools of Dragon Blood or for the Tears of Asha. Second one would be collecting legendary Dragon Knight artifacts to boost her capabilities. Third one is sacrificing living dragons, one of each kind, in a ritual and absorbing their energies.
Well, we're not forced to choose one option, we can combine two, or even all of them, or come up with something entirely else. Either way is fine with me.

I'm not going to go into any huge detail or anything, but I think that Fortress and Inferno are pretty much a given as two expansion factions.
You know they had to have everything in place for these factions if they had won their matchup votes.

Not at all. They had nothing in place, save for some ideas and sketches. And even if they did, it would still not be a given, just like Academy wasn't a given for Heroes 6, but it was still somehow in the data of the game.

I'm saying it wouldn't surprise me one bit if Sanctuary would cough*STILL*cough be in the data of H7 ...

would greatly surprise me since circumstances are (to our knowledge) very different this time around and saving resources seems like a primary concern.

I taught I was obvious. I was insinuating H7 is just patched H6 ... with all the same units and all, and Academy being the "locked" faction ... hence the word still

Well, this teaches us that at the very least, we can have Inferno and Sanctuary at any given time by copy - pasting from heroes VI. Which could be fun because we will get all previous non in-game creatures and different skins for the already existing ones
On a plus side, they will be polished for the Unreal Engine 3
(with a bit of though, a bit of despair and a bit of hoping)

I was replaying CoH, playing through the Academy campaign as Nadia.
Looking at her spell, something struck me... pun not intended.
Lighting strike was always Solmyr's domain - not only that, Nadia wasn't exactly a mage at the time of CoH - her power came from the Kaamla Asiya spell, which was passed on to her from her mother.
Now, wouldn't it be cool if in Heroes 7, it turned out that the spell originated from Solmyr? I hope that something like this is mentioned in the Collector's Edition map, because this would really add even more to the story continuity.

Well, my idea was wrong regardless - Kaamla Asiya does have lore behind already, and it seems to come from the Seventh Dragon.

In Heroes 6 it was a major problem that almost every creature could go through the battle map on 2 turns. Everything was too mobile, I hope they will tweak this, and make them slower in the end in H7.
What are your thoughts about this?

I dont see the fun in taking forever to reach the other side, but neither on the ranged creatures getting reached so easily. Oifk
How do you think the remaining dwellings are getting called.
I'm leaning Shrine of X for Medusas, War Academy for Blade dancers and Sun/Moom glade for the deers

I don't mind some slow units as long as they can make up for it with other stats, like golems. But there should of course be faster units that can block enemy archers before they shoot everyone dead.
