Are games started with RC8b completely compatible with the new RC9? Or should I finish my current RC8b game before uninstalling RC8b and installing RC9?

Hello community! I'm new to the forum, but I've been following the game since its first release and I must say you 've made a great contribution to its current awesome state!
For my personal preference and amusement I wanted to bring back the racial abilities and absolute skills to all classes, witch to me should be an inseparable element of the game in all its evolutionary stages. I 've done in most parts, I have tested at least one (Urghash's Call) and I was exhilarated it worked perfectly well! In one specific race though, its racial ability doesn't work at all for two out of three classes.. that is Paladins and Heretics of the Haven faction. My question is the followng: is there a way the Training racial may be able to work for Paladins and Heretics?

The last I heard, was that certain racial abilities are hardcoded, for example Avenger secondary skill works for Ranger only and Haven Training works for Knight only.

I see... just an idea. If renaming the Paladin to KnightA and the Heretic to KnightB would solve the problem?

By the way, the Avenger abilities work for all classes of Sylvan. Guaranteed! I haven't tested Nature's Luck though.

You would need to ask magnomagus what the current status of certain abilities is in the MMH5.5 mod.

If Avenger or Combat are not on the first skill slot the hero cannot chose favoured enemies (for avenger) or train units (for Combat).

...elemental vision will not work, bloodrage will not work,... you just did not run into the bugs yet. Also racial skills will weaken many classes because they occupy skill slots. For example a druid with avenger makes no sense, since he won't have time to cast both spells and shoot arrows. Think about it longer and you will find out this mission is pointless.
If you want racial skills play TOE.

I have put them on the first skill slot and favoured enemies can be selected from all Sylvan classes.

Of course they won't work. Overlords don't have access to Destructive Magic and Shamans/Witches don't have access to Bloodrage. For those classes I added a different racial.
As for your argument that for example Druids will be weakened, I beg to difer. Nature's Wrath is a damage upgrade (most welcome for Druids). Forrest Guardian adds attack and Dancers (most welcome especially for Druids, who have low percentage in Attack for each level-up). Deadeye Shot, yes is a shooting ability, but early and mid-game (depending on map size) may be preferable or a necessity in some battle instances. Most importantly though, it paves the way to a Druid's territory, high level spellcasting while simultaneously inflicting physical damage with the Imbue Arrow ability. I don't have to comment on the havoc a Druid may wreck with the ex Imbue Ballista ability, now renamed and modified into Arcane Avenger. It's a different skill with prerequisites, but the general concept is the same.
What I previously mentioned about Deadeye Shot applies to Rain of Arrows as well. Finally, Know your Enemy enhances physical damage of the Sylvan Army to their favourite enemy (most welcome for Druids). Again, no Druid shooting involved... The Avenger skill has little to do with shooting. It's almost entirely about creature damage increase, that's why it's far from pointless to incorporate it in Druid's skill pool.

My saved game from RC8, very long game by the way, is working just fine after updating with RC9.
And it looks and feels Great!

Hi again. I am not sure if this will work but I added new heroes models to game. I hope this will work, because I can't check it in game.
If you want new models for heroes (depending on specialization)download file and paste it to data folder(change existing MMH55-Data)
MMH5Hero
btw you will need leatest version MMH5.5

Is there anyway to disable the Creaturepedia ? Because it's very buggy with the Xazardous mod.

Quote: QUICK NOTE: On older PCs the creature manual can cause a lag when opening the creature hire screen, if you don't want this you will unfortunately have to remove the feature entirely, this can be done by removing MMH55-Creaturepedia.pak from your data folder.

Hi, I'm really enjoying the 5.5 mod, but was wondering about the unit compensation for the victorious AI after its battles with other AI armies. Is it the case that unless you turn on the Casual option at the map's creation, the victorious AI will get its troops back regardless of the complexity of the battle? I get that you want to compensate it for losses in easy battles (on par with Human players), but if it also gets back troops lost in closely matched battles, it creates a very big cheat advantage for the AI player, especially on bigger maps with multiple AI players. The last-standing Connor MacLeod will have a massive army that human player won't be able to match.

@far hopper:
If casual game is enabled there are no cheats, the Ai is just smarter than it used too, I added handicap AI option in RC9 settings.pak if game is too hard.
