running slow here too. i have to continually click on the full path at the top of my browser and hit "enter" to get the page to load(which sometimes takes more than one try); otherwise, i'll just be staring at a blank screen, waiting for it to load, for infinity.

Also experiencing slowness at the moment.
Edit: Case in point, I just saw this at the bottom of one of the pages: Page compiled in 16.697 seconds. But it's flaky; I've also seen 0.0xx seconds.

I personally noticed that the slowness occurs mostly when you are trying to post something. When I click the post button I have to wait for a long time. On the other hand, I managed to open 4 threads at the same time in under 1 second. Also the slowness differs from time to time, I can't really describe a pattern. Sometimes it disappears, sometimes it's just a little bit, etc.

i'm having random issues loading HC. i have fast internet, so that's not the reason. anyone else having this issue? i'll even get the "page unavailable" webpage, because it didn't even load...

For me, something as far as this happened:
My guess is that either it's time to clean up old threads(database) or that there is some serious traffic on HC...
EDIT: If it makes any difference, I was replying to what Fred said in the "How can I be a better poster" thread, in the Newcomers Inn. Strangely, after the error happened, I tried refreshing the HC main page, my post was there, but I didn't try to post again or anything. e.g The error might have to do with something other than the post itself.
EDIT 2: Like I noted, the slowness is mainly when trying to post something, viewing threads isn't too slow, but posting is. So if you think about it, there's probably some traffic.

i'm having the exact same issue as this. the "your post has been added" page doesn't pop up, and when i look at "today's posts", the thread isn't bumped to the top, either; but my post is there in the appropriate thread. it doesn't look like the time's changing, either; but that could just be my mistake.
edit: and now it's working fine again. these sporadic problems don't really make sense.
