Forgive our negativity. Let me tell you my experience trying to come back to Homm7.
Firstly I tried playing some new large maps. After several real days of playing one map, the game crashes and when I try to load any of the savegames, it crashes on load. So that's a waste of many hours and no way of getting back. This is version 2.2.1.
So now I tried getting back to an old map I was working on in 2015. Back then the editor used to crash all the time, so I gave up on both the editor and the game. I just spent making an hour of changes, which I am sure I saved, and hey presto! when loading the map again, all the changes are lost.
So I can tell you - to hell with this editor and this game. I will not spend any more money on Homm if Ubisoft makes it. It is a great shame to me because I love this game, but have to resort to keep going back to other games that actually don't crash and don't have any bugs to speak of. I wish the next time that some Ubisoft director buys a luxury car and the software has bugs, which makes him turn left down a cliff instead of right which he was trying to do!
Finally, if anyone wants to finish my map, they are welcome to message me. It just needs some final balancing and testing. I have spent at least 30 hours on it so far.
