Guys, we're slowly drifting away from the intention of this topic: positive feedback. The current argument is focussing on the negatives again, which should be in a topic of its own. I'm going to see if I can move the posts on this page to another topic and clean it up some.
Edit: Thread cleaned. I have moved all the deleted posts into the "So what could somehow redeem H7?" thread, which is better suited for the discussion that developed.
Please use that topic for overall discussion on where H7 failed and could improve and let's use this topic for positive feedback .

Positive facts (I will keep my doubts about some of these points for myself as this is the POSITIVE feedback topic only)
1) We are getting the addon for MMH7 some people thought it would bever come
2) The addon includes DWARVES, one of the three most popular remaining factions of Ashan universum
3) There should be massive improvements of the vanilla as well
/skilling, council scenes, ...
4) Many information about the addon and changes coming soon!

i'd take sanctuary over fortress anytime of day!
the good thing that also surprises me is the use of completely new units! they reused almost nothing!
as much as i don't like the dwarves I'm already enjoying the game up to a point, so if this expansion will make things better then I will really enjoy the game. i will wait for inferno and sanctuary though

It does make me wonder, though; did they order the models of the expansion anew from a graphics designer? If so, which other models did they add or update? I assume we'll also be seeing a few new neutrals, after all.

The point is that we will see neutrals. I didn't even expect neutrals at all!!! Maybe the "expansion" was planned from the start and they daved funds for that. Smth like their last resort. Who knows... Now i can' t wait till june 2nd to see if there is actual bug fixing to begin with.
The good thing is that i haven t encountered almost any gamebreaking bugs. It just needs polishinhg and balancing. Especially spells.
Few spells,mamy schools yada yada,but it does work quite well i kust say. Just balance the damn spells!!

they have "after-june2" support plans. this may mean something exactly like h7 vanilla, release even if its buggy etc etc... or release it properly polished but after add more features.

Speaking about quick fight/combat games only, I am convinced about what I have said, I have never enjoyed quick fights in H5 (unlike the rest of the game).
I finished H5 campaigns with all its datadiscs 5 times or something like that, so I think I know it enough

Ok, here is something
- flanking, good inovation for combat
- both might & magic heroes for each faction
- arcane knowledges system is probably the best way of learning spells, good perks giving certain spells area effect (not mass, it was op)
- choices in towntrees
- improved thieves guilds
- improved caravans
- magic guilds with specialized school choice
- more magic schools giving higher variability
- 2 champions
- unique warfares
- fortifications system (town guard)
- more diverse battlefields (sizes, objects, predefined starting in the midle...)
- racial abilities fitting the factions sometimes a bit more than H5 ones imao
I have also some negative things to add to some of the things above but I will not pollute with them this positive thread

I agree with frosty
And the only improvement to caravans I can see is tied with area of control. If the dwelling is within your town or fort's area of control then you can buy the creatures from said castle or fort.
Some may call it an improvement, others may call it dumbing the game down further.

caravans got a downgrade because before you can load other troops on the caravan because it appeared on the adventure map.

predefined starting in middle is so crappy. They copied idea from h3 but added their own understanding to it. Your army is placed in the middle in a way that you can`t control their exact positions as it is in h3. When I asked them to do something about this , I have been told that it was an ambush..
Did they fix the fact that on those battlefields the left stacks could be flanked right away because they have their back turned to you?
These guys are so hopeless.

And all of this could have been resolved if only the defender turned to face the attacker for the first attack of that turn. On top of all the other benefits.
