2 Seems like a good number to me, the beta only crashed once and my hero only disappeared twice.
I got my money back from Steam thanks to their new new refund policy so overall it was a decent experience

I give it a seven. Dispite it's flaws the I've found the game to have some charm to it. It's very easy to pick up compared to other heroes games. I've introduced a few friends to it and have been able to some fun hot seat games. The most interesting part is the grand master abilities within the skill wheel, mostly the magic ones and a few others. 15% hp to troops with earth magic, chain lighting attacks for air magic, max damage and stat boost for light magic, 5% extra troops (rounds up) During battles for leadership..etc and with the changes coming about random skills, I think it'll be a lot more fun. Even if the numbers get nerfed in order for complete freedom for skill choices, it'll be worth it.
The biggest thing holding this game back is the AI. It's just terrible. I don't play much at all by myself, strictly with friends. Enemy AI buys a snow ton heroes still, don't make good combat choices, they don't seem to make any one big army...? If this area gets a huge improvement then the game could be sweet.
And of course the AC mod greatly helps with the dull line up choices.

3/10. It didn't learn from the mistakes of h6, but rather repeated them. It didn't advance the series in any way, has less strategical and tactical decisions available than past games. Most of all it wasn't fun to play, it didn't once make me feel like I'd wanna play it again or feel better than past games.

How can you rate the game you do not own?
There are few ways how you can rate it. Play the beta (face it, H7 haven't changed that much from beta when it comes to gameplay and bugs), streams, videos and even patchnotes (the fact that AI gain ability to wait during combat in patch 1.8 speaks a lot and would influence my rating).
I'd give the game 1/10, but as I don't own it, I will not pollute the poll

Let's say 6, pretty average. I lost the urge to play months back and I didn't even bother to replay the final mission after a scripting bug made it impossible to finish it.

1-no, you cant rate it if you didnt experienced it.
2-1.8 have nothing to do with beta.
3-naah feel free to do, this forum loves to bash h7 on daily basis. its somekind of masturbation.
4- those 1,2,3 are just here to drop rating avarage because they want to see it as low as possible even if they dont believe their own rating. (verriker having %36 steam review as signature)

4/10 , lost the urge to play the campagin and solo scenario vs ai is not possible since it is sooooooooo dumb
and multiplayer(simturns) still not playable

You polluted the thread,same thing. Go elsewhere. The game has changed very much from the beta.
I gave it an 8. Balancing and kinir bug fixing. Already way better than 6.

I'd play H6 right now but would not bother with H7 unless there was an H4 campaign or a new faction. H7 has corrected the mistakes of H6 and yet the battles are just boring..

I have given this game 2/10, would not recommend,
I am normally predisposed to give any Heroes a high score, but it loses many points for several reasons in order of importance, such as its terrible student project tier AI, boring and unaddictive gameplay loop, ill-conceived mechanics (from game balance to unit definitions to combat design and world scale), very poor cheap and incoherent art direction, the conservatism and lack of originality/innovation/reason to exist (I can't name a single major USP here), and dreadful user experience with lack of polish, bad technical optimisation and many bugs on release, and unbearably slow patch support which also created new bugs lol
if I were asked to factor in the behavior of the devs and publishers to affect my score, I would certainly have to lower my score to 1, but let's focus on the game lol

If I also judged based on previous entries, my score would drop some. In truth, its major advantage is that it fixed the no-brainer issues of H6. But that doesn't really say much.

For me it's simple. The game is a 6 at most, and for a Heroes in this stage of the brand's life cycle that score could just as well be a 0, because it doesn't matter whether it's one or the other or anything in-between. It's either an 8+ or a failure after the mixed reviews of H6.

i hate this forum. you guys are snowing pathetic.
1- you can experience it without buying it (I actually played 1.7 with a friend who bought it) and it looked a lot like beta. Clunky units, combat stuck without a reason, AI doesn't know to use wait, or bettter yet AI is stupid.
2- 1.7 still had issues that I experienced with beta. I doubt 1.8 brought major changes, but I stand corrected for that.
4- I do not understand this...
And why would I give 1/10? Simple. It is the seventh installment of the game. Sveneth! And all previous games (yes, even H6) are better than this one. Loading times, idiotic AI, boring battles (yes, I never used quick combat in previos games, yet here I played for few hours and I started using the quick combat, as battles were not challenging at all, and were rather boring, not to mention buggy), uninspired skill 'wheel', uninspired hero specialities, graphics that is worse than H6...
If this was the first game in the series, I would give it 5/10. But, youhave 6 previous installments, there is no excuse to fail and that is why it deserves 1/10, imo.
