Not really, Maurice summed it up quite well though.

It is simple. Really is. If you want to make great game, then you should have decent budget to work with. Hands down, this was main and only problem. All other problems are result of this. Simple as that!

Man. Still talking about fails and how this game could've been good.
In dungeon and dragon terms, we're specters aimlessly haunting Might and Magic forums and other Ubisoft regions... vengeful spirits looking for what they were denied in life, ghosts appearing and vanishing in hope of one day stumbling upon a good might and magic game or attacking anyone that cannot provide us that.

I don't really agree with that. When their base concept is flawed it doesn't matter how much money they throw at it when they keep building the wrong thing. You order a bicycle and get handed a wheel-chair as final product, something went wrong on the base level there despite there being two wheels and a seat(like these devs would hear the original order).
Devs have time and time again showed that they didn't understand what made the games before h6 good, be that sim-turns, multiplayer, AI, skill-"wheel", magic-shools, creature tiers, hero specialization, etc. So many thing went so wrong at the base level, it was the base concepts and designs that they screwed up with.
For example I would have been totally fine with even just 4 factions if they had given them interesting racials, unique units(and their abilities and stats), unique specializations and so forth. I would have been fine with less magic schools if they would have felt more unique. I would have been fine with less maps or even no maps at all and good RMG. Less skills and artifacts with less over-lapse, completely fine with me. No online multiplayer at start because no money/skill to do that at the moment, fine. But when everything falls to mediocrity and feels generic I know something went really wrong at the base level of things and it's not just about money.
It would have been so much better to make good foundation first even if it meant less things overall. Just start adding from there with patches, DLC, expansions and so forth if players see the game as something that would be worth their time and money. That's precisely why I see MMH7 as total cash-grab, I don't see any real effort put into it, I see no promise of brighter future as all I keep hearing is empty words with nothing to back them up because the bad base game stands on.
PS while I hate the DLC-time where companies keep pumping money from gamers for content that should have been in base game, I will buy the rare DLC/expansions that I feel worth the money. If I truly enjoy a game for hundreds of hours, the odds are I will buy even crappier DLC that gives colors or outfits I might never use just to support the game or improve my experience if even mildly that much further. Mostly though I consider DLC available totally not worth the money companies ask for it.

Objectively false. There have been projects that have been successful despite budgetary limitations and others that have bombed despite what should be excessive budget. It's how the money is utilized that matters.

I'll be nice and say "highly unlikely" instead of the outright "no" this statment deserves.

Maybe he was just joking? But the point stands - money isn't that big of an issue, when they created a game nobody wants. Some of the stuff could've been changed right away (like allowing shooter units to attack in melee, or at least remove those ridiculous weeks that flyers can't fly or shooters can't shoot, or attack).
