I like the Black Cat too, was very useful to me at beginning, Statue is a good buffer I think but need to be well surrounded, Dwarven Sky is a bit meh from my experience, Egg Dragon is one of the best early game healer. Frog one of the best small stunners.
Combos are not only important, they are CRUCIAL, you can awaken some two dots at low level but as you progress three dots is a minimum. Thankfully, since the new drop rates these are less a pain to find, we all long for 4 dots though. 
I hope the links I sent you earlier with guides from HC can be useful to you, for anything never hesitate to ask in the thread.
Even though we're the glorious Kreegans don't mind much PvP right now, at first is best to level-up as you find and upgrade your creatures.

I'll have to admit I encountered a (very) few good defenses in the last hours and lost a a few (3) fights. My defense also got better once I found a second small stunner this afternoon. I am not so sure which is better: full 5 waves or starting wave 2, I guess is situational to creatures one have and their amount of dots. I still disapprove of current dungeon setups as most defenses are swiss cheese.

Watch me miss this phoenix and be thrown out of the top 100 as everybody probably goes beserk over it.
And of course I have an appointment with my shrink on wednesday... so I can't sleep at my boyfriends place for once to get a phoenix... Argh, why my luck always turns against me...
Still collecting diamonds for September, and probably only getting sirens and ogres out of that...
Are the new ending times for this already active? And what are the new ending times for the competition? Please tell me they are not at midnight in european like these last one... Tuesday around 1 o clock in the night, which person would do such a cruel thing?
The best time for the competition to end is 11 o clock (23:00) in the night on Sunday. Americans can have their own private competition for all I care. It is all about European anyway.

Three multi-summon tries, 1 3-dot legendary which is not Cerberus btw
Though you can be luckier and get it (dunno if it is really good, doesn't seem to). At last they give away dark rezzer (no idea what is his name in EN) and dark elf, though it's quite difficult to get a 4-dot one. I got no 4 dot in all summons (3 multi + several single boxes).
Those event multi-summons are kinda frustrating. Dunno who is in charge of marketing, but he screwed the whole deal. Don't want them anymore.

I tried my luck twice (all I could afford) and no Cerberus nor Lich which I wanted. At least one Evil Eye dupe and a bunch of Dark Elves which I didn't need. 
Got a Valkyrie though.

Not sure I suggested it in the appropriate thread but I think what they need to do is to GUARANTEE a Legendary on each FIRST multi-summon per event. Like this the diamonds can't ever be a waste and if you want to gamble more for dupes or whatever you know the rules. IMO this would not only improve the multi-summon experience but also entice players to summon more.

Better put it "to GUARANTEE a 4-dot". Not sure about 4-dot Legendary.
Personally, I'm sinking in 2- or 3-dot epics and 3-dot legendaries.
But I do agree that it would do event summons more welcome, at least for the first try.

This week got me nervous...
The phoenix is the prize and september is closing in, I hope the summoing event of september isn't the same as now, as I can't summon on thursday and wednesday... So I will probably miss the summon event, the event should stay longer... and be in the weekend. Why is everything in CQ so work-week-ish?

And the best thing? I got 0 legendaries in multies yet I got several in single totem summons.
I agree with Galaad: one legendary should be enough to avoid frustration (ask Stevie about bad luck)
At least I got 2x Hunchbacks and Dark Elf (ofc both 3 dots).

With only first step awakening Hunchback allows you to pass 51 if you can't kill the Angel before the silence.
Dark Elf is prolly best nuker of the game.

Also btw I don't think diamond idols are affected by summon events.

Same here. I got my legends either on dungeon challenges or by diamond/color idols.
Btw, diamond idols are TOTALLY UNRELATED to summon events. Maybe the odds of getting legends are increased in events, but I don't think either. Even if I got a stego with an idol in the Astral summon event, and a Vampire in I don't remember what event.
Don't count on idols to get the special legends, like sphinx, Astral or Cerberus. And once their event is gone, there's no way to get it from a casual single or multi summon.

You can still get event legendaries even after the event, just the chance becomes the same as other legendaries. I also opened 80 idols including 4 mythic idol yesterday. Events don't affect idols but I was saving them because after the event there's a slight chance of getting Cerberus even if is small. Didnt spend money, don't like where the game is headed.

Didn't know about that one. I had lost all hopes (well, not all, almost) to get those events Legends.
As I never heard of someone still getting Hulk, Worm or Astral... etc.

I have opened 3 occultist after the event. Plenty of people in my guild have opened sphinx, worm, astral after event, don't remember seeing hulk.

I strongly oppose the idea of a guarenteed legendary / 4-dot (legendary) in a multisummon. All these creatures are supposed to be ultra-rare. In case they are given away in a guaranteed way, the game would be flooded with 4-dots/ legendaries and all other creatures would get irrelevant. Moreover, the multisummon already gives you a discount on the diamonds necessary for ten creatures (100 diamonds) and a guaranteed epic. This is enough.
