I may be playing into stereotypes, but Brazilians really like rhythmic music with a lot percussion in it, right? So I'll go with 1,since it is a percussion instrument.

Aaaaand that's that. Bodhrán sort of fascinated me. I like it. But I would love learning to play harp, kemenche, flute, oud, or zither. In that order. I actually have an Irish flute, but it's not something I feel like trying and learning. Bodhrán, though, as soon as I find it to buy somewhere here, I will get into it.

Fred posted a nice question in my thread.
What sort of quiz show am (was?) I due to participate in... whenever?
1. A show similar to Jeopardy
2. Sort of like 'Who wants to be a millionaire?'
3. 'The Chase' rip-off
4. An inferior version of University Challenge
5. None of the above

Hexcellent.
Speaking of hexes and lent, what is my favorite type of spook?
1) The elder Fey archetype. The creepy old crone and the call of the wild hunt (which is also Norse, but shush,) the thieves of children and a lingering, vengeful soul that waits to take its due on the children and grand children of those who wronged it. Pretty much anything by Guillermo del Toro.
2) Undead. The hordes of mindless zombies (or fast zombies, or still smart zombies...,) vampires who prey upon the living, skeletons that burst forth from their graves in order to reap a terrible toll on their descendants, a ghost that haunts a house or possesses its victims, etc.
3) A Virus/ Disease that was biologically engineered. More of a thriller or philosophical debate on responsibility and handling things if it's done well, to be fair, but the thought of what that would do to society is just... *looks outside.* Spoopy.
4) The masked Psychopath. Friday the 13th, Saw, Halloween... basically the good ol' splatter, horror and Halloween films. Not sure how else I should try to sell them, they're just modern classics of the spooky genre.
5) The Lovecraftian style horror. A being from beyond the stars, ancient, unknowable, who's mere uncaring existence drives its victims to madness, reshapes flesh and soul, and reminds us of just how insignificant humanity's role in the cosmic order truly is. Also includes horrific nightmare beings like the Thing, and even Freddy Krueger (... given how Freddy actually functions, he fits better here than the god ol' blockbuster psychopath category.)
Edit: ... I know that this has nothing to do with lent. No part of this has anything to do with lent. I lied to you. Like a liar.
