I watched the first episode of the new Shaman King anime and I quite liked what I saw. Feels like a nice upgrade to the old one in terms of style and animation and still has the charm. Looking forward to more.

I didn't realise
Higehiro: After Being Rejected, I Shaved and Took in a High School Runaway
was part of the starting season. It's a pretty decent manga. At least as far as it's gotten. A chill drama. The pace is very slow and deliberate so I probably won't pick it up, but if you like that kind of thing maybe worth a look. I'd probably give the series a solid 7 in manga format.
Oh yeah, Log Horizon finally had a decent episode but damn it took them a season to get anywhere.

Odd Taxi
Call me intrigued. At first it seems like "silly animals doing silly things" type of comedy, but actually it has sharp dialogues, nice vibe, and underlaying crime drama (?).

I postponed some anime to give time to Nichijou. I am a big fan of shows like this, reminds me of Danshi Koukousei and Asobi Asobase. Just random moments of hilarity with no pretense for a story. Really glad I found it.
Need to watch Shaman King myself, heard some interesting opinions about MC voice being too girly. Need to check that out. xD

At first glance it looks like standard vampire/bishounen cr@p, but turns out it's pretty climatic and stylish "secret agency" anime set in last century 20's Japan. Definately has potential and the OP is good.
Slime Diaries
For those who found S2 of Slime datta Hen too edgy and less slice of life-y: the series is all about day-to-day antics in Rimurus kingdom. The only downside (?) might be that it's made by a different studio, so while not essentailly a bad thing the character design definately seems off, it's softer and... "cuter"(?). It still does have the series charm though. Another downside might be the fact that it takes place before S2, so it might be a strange expierience while S2 was is still fresh in the mind.

Full Dive (don't bother checking the full title)
At first it seems like a standard isekai and probably will be (harem will soon take over that's a given) but there are some interesting concepts here like "feeling" pain and how the MC starts off his adventure. Might be from the "above-avarage" isekai lot.

Oh, didn't know that. After two episodes I would say it's decent alas nothing spectacular, but judging by the ending of episode two, there might be a lot of drama here.

Can't help thinking that there's hordes of grownups well into their 30's and 40's watching what's basically a children's anime with Shaman King. I mean, sure, it was one of my childhood anime too so I just wanted to see the remake, but my goodness does it feel kinda awkward and out of place to do so at my age. It's not like it's bad either, just the tropes and the general shonenistic style. I quite like the quirkiness though.

And let's be fair here, barely 2 episodes in and MC already gets his waifu. That's gotta be a plus, right?  
I lost it when I saw that freaking midget. How do you even survive being so small you'd have to reach up to climb the bed? Goes over a fence with no problem though, makes sense.

Damn man, most of the things we discuss here on this board is for teenagers, just get over it. 20 years ago it might've been awkward, but we live in a world where nerds won, for example grown ups make a living by playing imaginary characters in games with monsters and dragons. So you can fawn over all the "kids shows" you want  Too late for second thoughts!
That said never was and never will be into Shaman King.

The MC is OP and laid back plus she has one (and will have two) Dragon pupils. What could I want more from an isekai  Also, it's rather a light-hearted comedy more then anything.

Shadows House
Has all the signs of a good adaptation, though the first episode has a(n understandably) faster pace than the manga. The soundrack is amazing as well, so I'm looking forward to fun times.
Shame this didn't make the cut:
Well, a more coherent take on the first few chapters is fine by me, it probably means the plot is going to kick in sooner than in the manga.

I like your thinking, Blob. The only thing missing from the new Shaman King in my view is the Romanian dubbing. Sadly, I don't think it will be done this time, but I'll try to enjoy it without.
