In regards to Rychen's post about B@stards and h3...we were willing to start a new subtourney up and get heroes 3 going again, but barely any responded....and lets face it, not even half the people who were into heroes 3 a month before heroes 4 came, are around wanting heroes 3 tourneys and games. I see zone shrinking bigtime, and Yes, a lot of you here want heroes 3 to keep going, but more people are quitting heroes 3 then wanting to play it, so it will indeed die down to a minimum of players.
Whether or not heroes 4 will grab ahold of the current h3 players, former h3 players and new players is still undecided... but I think most will split their own ways soon if no heroes 4 multi or heroes 4 multi sucks. and the split includes some still playing heroes 3, but no one can expect toh to have even 1/4th the numbers it had within a few months. Now dont shoot me..its just my oppinion.
and in regards to Jinxers map post...sure alot of peeps like new maps and are tired of the old ones, but all those who do in fact only play 1 or 2 maps..they do it for a reason. Enjoyment...so its basically taking their enjoyment away if you dont allow them to play what they want.

My ONLY concern is that I dont think I could stand a full season of H3 with these same maps!!! Yes there are some kewl ones... But people play them over and over and over. Can you people really say it would be fun to play 10+ more months on HG or DW ? I have been playing Randoms for last few months because of how OLD the same old maps got. And it also is no fun to try and make a run on the TOP 10 ranked when the TOP 10 only get there because they only play 1 o 2 maps. Not really a true tale of talent.
I really want DIvisions back!!! That was best part of TOH. So IF we bring divisons / clans back... AND erase all TOH maps and make new fresh ones... I will vote for a new H3 season. hehe.

I agree we can have new maps & the old ones alternaat & have us players choose what we want to play if it is DW or a new made map.
Also about heroes 4 is the requirements some of the top players & new players as I hear in the zone & people I know does not have the requirements for the game & crashes at times.
Even with sound & graphics off one in like 3 games it will crash.
Can we keep heroes 4 alive if we dont have the requirements.

Yeah H4 sucks. H3 rules.
We tried to tell him..give it up.
Rob is convinced that H4 is a good game.
He will be playing it by himself I guess.
We tried to tell him this for a month now.
This is just a new thread saying the same thing.
Who cares? It's summer here. Phuck the whole series. I'm going out to play.

For one & only one if it bothers ya then dont post here. If you dont like how we express ourselves then why should it bother you.
I mean everythang in this season is in chance.I mean shouldnt we test out the game in a sub tourney so we can see if it is fit & still can be optimistic if the game is promising enough or not.

2 tournaments
after all i think 2 tournament wouldn't be too hard to keep.We need just one report win/loss page for both h3 and h4. Ves will need to add another combobox with gametype : heroes 3 or 4. Unreported games page would be one single page for both tournaments too.

The best for all of us-H3 maniacs-seems to be a new H3 season with a hugest H4 subtourney. However, I do not think Ves would like this idea. And he has his right reasons.
Remember last season's tournaments page? The number of the "planned" H4 tourneys were more than the running H3 tourneys. I do not believe that Ves cared about our last H3 season. It was only and only H4 which was in his mind. All his plans, dreams were on H4 not on h3. Now 3DO has released a crap which they prefered to name H4 - to all our disappointment. Whether we like it or not, Ves. will run a H4 tourney. Becuz he has been preparing ToH and himself for H4 for more than 1,5 years. Even in the middle of season3, there were plans for H4 tourneys.
After all, ToH is Ves's own tournament. Even tho he tries to impose democracy on us, he is still the King. And he has my full respect in the kingdom of ToH. Whatever he says, I will accept without any complaints. Becuz, it is not me or you (volunteers excluded) who spend our money, time and efforts only to please the ppl from every corner of the world.
Enuff of butt kissing 
In conclusion, my vote goes to a new H3 tourney with divisions and new maps.
H4 as a huge subtourney? no comment
But noone will hear me whining if we are forced to play H4

Heroes III must continues until the multiplayer patch is available for Heroes IV.
Afterall the previous heroes game have the multiplayer option which allows us this human v human option.
Once the Heroes Iv multplayer patch is out is it works fine then the decision must be made

Damn somehow i seem to agree with almost everything jinxer says these days. My only question mark is about banning maps, as jb said. Some of the players just play those maps because they are the one´s that they enjoy the most. On the other hand, if all "old" TOH maps will be removed and only new ones will be added atleast some of the maps should suit every player. There might should be a map council tho so we dont get a DW 4 as first map which might be almost a copy out of the old DW. But then i dont care that much about the map problems, to me its just a shame that u havent figured out the beauty of randoms yet 
Heroes3 divisions would rock.

What if we just deleted 20 or 30 of the top maps that the majority played. So that maps that noone has play will be played. And ones like hg, dw, bm, bfh ect. Are booted in the garbege can Just alittle opinion.

Yes JB I agree people enjoy playing some of them maps... But this is a tournament also. If they enjoy playing them then let them play them for fun and enjoyment amoungst friends. I am just suggesting for the tournament that some new material is persued. Would Flamingo be in #1 spot if not for Desertwar? Would Flamingo even be as good as he appears if not for Desertwar?? Would Stuff have accumulated as many points if not for HG?? Imagine Flamingo playing random maps where he couldnt memorize each hex of the map... I bet he might only have made Legionaire hehe.
When the NBA basketball finals are going on each team would rather play on there own HOME court. Yes it is fun to play on your own home court... but the NBA Basketball finals is a tournemant that you must prove your talent and worthyness on different playing fields. If they can dominate on many different basketball courts then they ahve true talent.
Or if you played PUTT-PUTT golf on the same course for a year. Surely you are gonna have all the trick points memorized. Yes would would be a PUTT PUTT god. But are you truely talented at putt putt? Or just good at that course?
In summary, I am not trying to make it so people can never play the maps they enjoy or have fun on. Just download the maps to your hardrive and play them maps for FUN when ever you want. I just persoally would like some solution so that when I go into zone wanting a game I am not restricked to ONLY playign the same 3 maps if I want a game.
Here is an Idea..... HOW ABOUT MAKING IT SO THE LOWER RANKED PLAYER GETS TO CHOOSE THE MAP.
Once a player like Flamingo gets so high he would have to play other maps to hold his level of greatness. And not just torture some Lt. on Desertwar.
Anyways I am babbling now. ANd surely to get some flames. I seem to atract flames hehe

As far as ToH being Ves', I completely agree. If he decides to run a strictly H4 tourny, then that is his decision to make, I just wont be able to enjoy it. (darn system requirements)
As far as Maps:
Create new ones!! If we only complain that new maps are needed, it wont do any good. We need to get off our butts (me included, lol) and design some new maps. Personally, I've always liked the idea of "theme" maps like LotR, or other fantasy or mythical related maps. This would let people make maps that they have a secondary interest in. Current event maps could be made, like a Spider-Man map or a Star Wars map. (How these events could be converted to medival times is beyond me, but just requires some creativity.) Maybe make a map that the land mass is shaped like Spider-Man's head. Stuff like that.
As far as 2 tournys:
This seems like the most logical solution, but remember, thats more work for Ves, and more Volunteers would be needed. Personally, I'd like to see ToH support HoMM 1,2,3 &4, but with out enough volunteers, that aint gonna happen.
HoMM on decline:
I realize ToH and HoMM used to be more active, but to claim it is slowly dieing out is not true IMO. I am currently "recruiting" people from other gaming communities to come check out ToH and the HoMM series. I already have 3 people that never would have played with out me telling them about it. (this is also another reason why I want to see another H3 season, for people that just joined in the previous season, or in this mini-season, it stinks that this may be the only chance they have to play ToH.)

Yeah new maps are needed and guess whats the best way to get people to play em - a blind map tournament like bastards did it. Man that tourney kicked ass ( to bad i only had 1 game because destro kicked my butt ).
i dont think it would be a problem to find players that would make maps for that kind of tourney

In regards to maps...removing the most popular maps would probably shrink even more the continuously shrinking heroes 3 audience. Ive prolly made a lot of the not so played maps floating around, and there has to be a reason they aren't played...minus a few that just arent discovered. an example is Giant War, it became popular, but took 6 months+ of no one playin it to get played at all.
But I know or atleast am pretty sure Ves heart isnt into heroes 3, and he'd like to move to heroes 4 or maybe even another game, but if he believes Heroes 4 has a chance..a lot of these people are right, Maybe do another heroes 3 season, and start a heroes 4 subtourney and slowly transition over if its any good online. Mocara may think its too late, but as we seen over the years, true heroes fans return to the game..so whether or not people left to do another game because toh didnt do a new season, they will be back and if they arent, they would have left anyways if the heroes season started.
So in conclusion..I dont think starting a season now would have any less effect then doing it right away earlier. but I do think heroes 3 is slowly dying, and people dont want to admit it the same way some people dont want to admit heroes 4 isnt too great. but Im speaking in the majority..there will always be heroes 3 lovers and heroes 4 lovers. (Altho I doubt heroes 4 will last 1/3 of the time heroes 3 did unless some nice changes come)

I haven't played homm4 that much but i don't HATE it that much. I can't say that i love it but i haven't seen the patch yet. The multiplayer patch will come later so i can't really decide up till then.
If it really sucks then i think a new homm3 season will be best. If the multiplayer patch is great then i think a homm4 season would be best. All this sounds logicall to me, can't decide till you have all the info yet. I like homm4 but don't love it the way i love homm3. For now only homm3 is fun cause you can play it online. If TOH will continue with homm4 when everybody thinks it stinks there are allways other tourneys/options.

So far as I can see Homm4 is not half as great as Homm3, so I agree to not let homm3 die, and lets make the new season all homm versions compatible so u can play homm3 and homm4 for same rankings.
