I don't see why this is so much diffrent from the original way, you'll still get the readout of how many health levels will be done... so it's still straightfoward. Where the additional conseiderations come in is trying to match stacks with equal numbers for greater efficency (which might mean a few stacks of 100 troops is better than a mega-stack of 300), using healing spells, and taking the time after hard battles to make sure your troops are healed.
A lot of people get scared away when formulas are posted, but they don't have to do the formula the computer does... besides most people don't realize that the current formula for damage is already complex ((Troop Attack + Hero Attack + Artifact Modification + Spell Modification + Hero Specialty - Troop defense - Hero defense - Artifact modification - spell modification - hero specialty) if negative damage is 1 -.02x value, if positive 1 + .05x value x damage done (randon number between min. and max. unless blessed or cursed), x2 if luck x creature specialty x spell effects x artifact effects, ect., ect.).

To me it is not! But as in every other game that requires you to learn formulas you have a few days where you are trying to cope with the fact that you have to learn them in order to be successfull! Now Iīm not saying theyīre hard, I understand them perfectly but you have to take other players into consideration as well. Of course my idea was just a suggestion, your idea fits better into Homm4 than my ideas I guess, but I will still keep asking about ideas until they reach some point of universal understanding.

Sorry I didn`t answer u fast .I couldn`t sign on.So I think ur idea is perfect as u are more familiar with things.I just wondered about that thing about the different religions.Now u cleared it out to me.Thanx!And if Devils become good and Angels bad u say that ferocity in attacks will stay the same ,right?But what if the Devils are good and the Angels are good too?Will the Devils` past affect Angels` attack ?Oh what a piece of crap am I writing!?Of course if they fight in different armies with different leaders they`ll fight no matter anything...but well yes -what about the 150% damage if they`re from one religion?
What do u think about that?Or if the Devils are good and don`t attack 150% more effectively and Angels do that because they are good b/c naturally they r good and do 150% damage more to Devils ( oh I hate long and stupid sentences . ..)won`t it be unfair to the players playing with the Devils or it will be just a "risk of proffesion" ?I don`t know what would u think but it`s 20 mins after midnight and I spent a hard day so I don`t expect what I just wrote to be good.
So what do u think?

One Shot, One Kill
I have doubts over this idea. Its used in other games and would make it more realistic but it would slow down battles alot(i think sometimes they are far too slow already) I mean it would mean creatures not dying as fast making it last longer.
At the moment powerful creatures can kill huge stacks of weaker ones in one round ok it might not be as realistic that the others get killed before they even have a chance to fight back but at least its simple and quick.

What about making Hobbits in the game...That could be VERY cool...And mountaion trolls...
And a lot of new elves...And as well dwarves...
Dark dwarves and dark elves should be added...

To Angel: Thanks for the support. I expect that devils that become good wonīt hate angels anymore īcause they are now as big of do-gooders as angels. However, when fighting Fallen Angels or (real) Devils the good Devils will probably fight with 150 % strength. But hell...I donīt know!
To Hsanders: We have had different versions of them in too much games already. Homm is tired of all halflings and trolls now...

I think you're not right...
We have had a lot of different humans in the game like dragons...
A halfling and a Hobbit isn't the same...
And trolls you say...Trolls is one of the most respected fantasy creature...In HOMM3 they are so ugly made that they could have maked another unit...

Another thing that bugs me (but I haven`t read any other posts recently and I don`t know )is that whether there`ll be new spells(well I`m sure there`ll be but..)& where can I get any info for them?I mean if there`s some site or any other resource(I wonder what other...

...and I have also an idea about a Viking town that should be kind of mixed with the stronghold if u think that one town with barbarians is enough

If you want a creature for the vikings here is one.
It's sleipnir the 8 legged horse he can make your unist move fast on water sky and every other groundkind.
he could have an viking on it's back.
Because horses can't attack from their own.
Except for the nightmare then.

If there should be a viking on Sleipnir? (I thought it was Sleipner) it should be Odin because it's his horse, but the pegasus from HoMM3 didn't have it's right owner so it's possible that Sleipner has some other viking on him. But when he is Odins horse, and has Loke as his mother shouldn't he be able to atack himself?

O.K...
First as a reply to Angel: Yes there will be different versions of spells if you decide to choose the dark or light side. For example bless might become prayer(light) or unholyness(dark). This of course just my sick ideas but theyīd work and the spells would become more versatile and funny to use. After choosing the light or dark side I also feel that you should be able to build level 6 or 7 mage guild or maybe a completely new mage guild.
To others...the sleipnir isnīt a horde unit īcause it is in fact Odinīs horse. And itīd be a bit over the top if you could recruit Odin or any other god now would it?!
However pegasi could have other growth levels. When viewing the light and dark side idea you could put them to use. Pegasi + light -> Redemtion Riders (more HP, speed)
Pegasi + dark -> Shadow Riders (more attack, speciality)
Something like that. Keep those posts coming!

Uhm!!!
Odin why ad odin???
They have medusa's Minotaurs and Harpy's.........
There are only 3 harpys there is only 1 medusa and 1 minotaur and also there is only 1 hydra in real mythology so why you are so crytic about the sleipnir????
It's just an 8 legged horse......
Odin does't matter that much...
And the minotaur is a child to zeus.........

And also the Fallen angel isn't a devil....
So your not always right.....
And if you watched hercules the serie you would know that the minotaur is a brother of hercules..... So i think that maked me say that...

Devils are fallen angel this does not change just because someone made up a new idea that there something different for a comic. But ok i was wrong about the two headed tiger (although its teeth make it much more sabertooth anyways) but not about killer rabbits since i never said that they never existed (in some crappy comic no doubt) just that the ideas is as bad as putting penguins in the game.

Nope
I saw them in some series and in a game... In that game they looked cool.
THey are just bunnys but their mouth is full with blood and the teeth are so awfull.
They lookt cool besides rabbits can walk better then pinguins and also the rabbits can bite pinguins only beak but they must slide to do this..
I saw many fallen angel pics....
But they are always naked. Some have steel wings others black feather wings. Others are just death angels and others are naked females with grey wings..
But i newer got an devil named fallen angel/death angel.
