Hehe. Well, it's actually more than that.
I used to play WoW and my ingame name was Kissofdeath for a while. I was part of a very PVE focused guild, and we raided a lot. We used Mumble to communicate. At first it was all ok, cuz I wasn't that important because I was undergeared. But as my role became more relevant, people started using my name, and when someone was like "Heal me, Kiss!", the rest of the raid started laughing. It sounded... awkward. After a while raiding became impossible because people joked and laughed all the time when someone said my name. So they eventually requested me to change it and... Stevie. 
Well, since it's a match with my real life name, it stayed. This time I think permanently. It's a fairly common name though, so I was surprised it actually worked, both there AND here.

My username comes from the Elder Scrolls games, where the Atronachs are a kind of Daedra (demon-like beings) who can be summoned to fight alongside you.
