my name DarkTitan originated from my little cousin who used to be obsessed with the Dark side in star wars, and i introduced him to heroes, his favourite monster being the same as mine, the mighty titan 
so when i first visited this site 4 or so years ago, i registered with another account, and then decided on a change a little while later, and i was a little confused as to the name i should change to. My cuz suggested just titan, but i sed no, so he said wot bout dark titan, and even tho i was alittle reluctant at first (sounds like a 5 year old name - although thats how old my cuz woulda been then  ) he convinced me and here we are..
btw i think a much more embarrassing name in real life would have to be someone like kaka, who plays for AC Milan, and in italy i dont think i need to tell you wot it means..

Well Ive got my name after Conan who is I think relatively famous,from my young age i was his biggest fan ever,i bought all comics about him,and now ive got over 35 books about him from all authors.
From Robert Edwin Howard which is the original author Ive got mainly all stories.The Amra after Conan means in language of the black native people Lion,becasue they were calling him like that.Thats all

How convenient it was to all be from Ontario, Canada!
Anyways, nice to see we have fellow Conan fans on the site. We seem to have 3 now; Conn, ConanAmra and me, Conan.
Nice to meet you, ConanAmra, I also read all the books from Robert E. Howard when I was in high school and that's when I got hooked. Conan is very much a hero to me aswell.

My Username meaning two jacket which i have
I got my user from two jackets which i bought REIMA Stands from a clothes making factory in finland my REIMA jacket was a winter jacket and My Ripley winter jacket is clothes making factory in the US and M is a description of my real name i realy wanted to be ME but it wasnt enough space to write it i started using this username in 2005 shortly after bying a Ripley winter jacket with 11 pockets i got it on half price my Reima jacket from 2000 or close to that year my Reima winter jacket only had 5 pockets and did not work as winter jacket if i didnt had 2 sweaters on my new Ripley jacket works very good it keeps the heat thank you AMERICA I live in the most Northern Country in Europe on a farm that is not active only a cat with 14 houses and 0,7 square kilometers about 750 Mål

Hello to all. I am a new commer and was interested in where you all got your usernames so I thought I might give my input.
My user name is TheAsgard.
I chose this name because I am also a fan of the Star Gate Series and like The Asgard. Many of my friends tell me that I am just as strange and mysteriuos and only intervien when I see that it may be needed and comes as a needed relief. This is common to The Asgard.

All the good ones were taken! no seriously Fabio Cannavaro is a italian defender (center). He currently plays in Juventus. Note I like Cannavaro not Juve.

Anyways, when I started playing Ultima Online (1998) it asked me for a nickname, since I didn't feel like thinking too much, I just made it russianguy. Why did I chose that nick? Well, there are two reasons. 1) I am Russian. 2) I am a guy. However, everyone in UO called me Russ. So, I figured I might as well keep all my future game nicknames Russ since this is how people would call me anyways.

Hmm... isn't the god of the sun supposed to be the most important one? Yarilo (I think this is how he was called in Russian).
Btw, I think I've read every Conan book 4-5 times. I've read all books by Howard as well as most of his "followers". Those are the most interesting books I've ever read and they are very easy-reading. If you've liked Conan series - try James Hadley Chase books - they take place in a very different setting, but they are just as easy-reading and always full of action.

I first used my username for a paper&pencil RPG character in the RUNEQUEST game(the original RQ NOT the Avalon Hill version).
Cabra, as the Cognoscenti are aware, is the location of the lighthouse in Amber. This is from "The Chronicles of Amber", several books in two series by the author Roger Zelazny. R.Z. is the most under-appreciated F/Si-Fi author EVER, and someone who worked on the t.v. show ANDROMEDA was a fan of his(i.e. Harper's middle name).
I simply added "nth" because it sounded good and made the name well-rounded.
So: Cabra+nth=Cabranth

I signed up for a email acc, after 3000 or so attempts to get a name that wasnt already in use my daughter suggested mistrelle after I corrected the spelling and added my int's I finally got it' remove the int's and I got a user name

Easy!
when I get bored at school awhile back I started to turn names and other words back to frount. I realy liked the way my name sounded so I used it as my name. so thats it realy. turning words backwards is fun try it .
