New Avatars recap
Thread Purpose:
This thread is for requesting custom avatars.
To discuss the avatars, use the Avatar Discussion Thread.
Custom Avatar Rules:
- You need two yellow stars before you can have a custom avatar. That means you need to have 50 or more posts on Heroes Community.
- You can have a maximum of one custom avatar per calendar year.
- Image format must be JPG or GIF (avatar uploader can help you convert format).
- File size must not exceed 4kb (avatar uploader can help you optimize file size).
- Image dimensions must not exceed 100 pixels in width or height.
- Image must not be offensive, vulgar or visually irritating.
To Request Your Custom Avatar:
Post the image, or a link to it, in this thread.
If you don't know how to optimize the dimensions and file size, just ask and someone will probably be able to help you.
This thread may be cleaned once your avatars are uploaded.

HALT, I see you're having problems with web space...go to Ranchoweb.com. They give you 1MB free space for pics and can be linked...

Here we go again: avatars made on the single sheet so they will have to be cut off from it. Ill try to post later every single one of them separately.

well, MaH/WoG Tourney has a huge selestion of neat avatars too many to post here thats for sure lol. So i will post the link here for you guys, My hubby and a friend made all new Heroes for our H3 Game so the avatars you see I see in my game all the time!!! it actuall gives a neat twist to the game seeing all the new faces! anyways here is the link

Firstly save it as a jpeg or gif to reduce the size.

1. You can email it to valeriy(look in profiles for address).
or
2. Upload your avatar with an FTP program to your server, if you have web space, or to a free web space on the net like ranchoweb. Then link the picture here in your post with the BB Code.
As for reserving the new avatar, you can do this in your profile once it has been uploaded.
Pre-reserving I'm not sure you can do.

Mitzah and TitaniumAlloy, please change your signatures. Maximum total size of images for the signatures is 10 kilobytes. Right click on your image and click properties to see the size.
Mitzah, TitaniumAlloy, TheRealDeal and Pirahna custom avatars uploaded.
Please use this thread for avatar requests in the future. I do them several at once so some people might need to wait a few weeks.
Clarification: you can reserve and unreserve as many times as you want by selecting a different avatar. But a member can only have one custom avatar. This applies to moderators and myself too. Having a custom, you can still revert to any of the standard avatars at any time and reserve one of those, but then your custom will be up for grabs.

Try Irfan View. It's free. You can resize it, sharpen it and save it as a GIF without losing quality.

The white in the background does not influence the size. I squished it down to 3.8 kb. I'm da master...

Hmm.
Here's what I managed:
It's 3.45 KB, with transparent background. Problem is, the limit for avatars is 2.00 KB.
Lich_King and Dread_Knight both have avatars approximately the same size, file type, and quality. But, both are compressed to less than 2.00 KB. How do we reproduce that with the Brissa?
I tried InfranView. It did not crush the size small enough, and it lost the transparency to boot.

Ste, please supply a GIF version that has transparency around the edges of the shield, otherways it will appear as white square in gray post fields.
deathshadow, are you happy with the version that Mitzah made? If yes, I'll make it under 2kb and upload it.
Also, don't worry about the under 2kb thing because I have excellent software called ulead smart saver pro, using which I can easily make your ava under 2kb in size. But it doesn't do transparency properly, so if your ava is meant to be transparent, please make it so before you send.
