IMPORTANT: MAKING SAVES
I just thought I'd make this thread to educate some of our newer players,as most of the vets already know what I'm about to explain.
Myself and the rest of HC were looking over a case that had 1 save per week. My friends, that usually isnt enough for us to go on. Many things can happen inbetween those saves.
So,the point I'm about to make is clear. If you really want to A) learn things from veterans and B) catch possible cheats saving everyday is the way to go.That way we can see the exact day of the cheat.Otherwise,we have to try and piece things together, complicating our task.
The other thing is a proper save. The way to do it is to save from the autosave 2,that way you can do it while your opponent plays his/her turn,so if your playing 2 min turns you arent taking away from valuable gametime . I label my saves like so:
Motorscaaf week 1 day 1
The next day:
Motorschaaf week 1 day 2
....and so forth. The added benefit of this is when you play good players, you can also try replaying thier moves, allowing you to see how guys like Motor break mid week 2 on BOB2 , or how Frank eats you up on beltway .
If you follow these instructions,I guaratee that we at Honor Council will be able to deal with your cases with more efficientcy.
Thank you and have a great day

always been told NOT to do this as the saves can be unreliable, and that the proper way to make save is in YOUR turn!!!

I'm sure what he meant was rename your "autosave.gm2" file to "motorshaff_115" while it is your opponent's turn.
At least that's what I would do if for some strange reason I don't manage to hit the 's' key before my turn ends.

i have to add something about saves:
If you send a save to the Honor Council, please don't forget to mention in the mail which player had which color. maybe in some cases we can get that info out of the story but not allways.

umm i am just guessing but i am thinking who ever sent the save is the person who plays the colour that first shows when u load the save
or is it common that the accused mails his saves to the accuser first so he can pass it on to u ?

Makeum good save plz :)
When working in the HC I most appreciate the following format for naming saves and making them.
Desertwar111 (Map=DW/month=1/week=1/day=1)
Desertwar112 (Map=DW/month=1/week=1/day=2)
Desertwar213 (Map=DW/month=2/week=1/day=3)
....etc. If room then opponents name at front is added
Thus: MotorDW111 works just fine if I were playing him.
See the following thread for very easy and time saving way to make the most accurate saves.
