Favorite Theme
My favorite theme would have to be the Necromancer, Inferno, Dungeon and Rampart theme from Heroes III, although, I must say, all the themes are quite nice and pleasing. But I seriously think that overall, Heroes II has the best music, especially those Sorceress and Barbarian themes from PoL! Anyone knows where to find those music online?

Stronghold, fortress, necro, inferno and tower themes are all preety good. My fave would have to be the "combat 01" theme though.

Personally, I thought the HoMM 2 themes were the best - they kinda evoked the most emotions, I know it sounds cheesy haha.
I liked the HoMM2 sorceress castle best. I haven't heard it for about 8 years or so, but I can still clearly recall it, it always cheers me up

HoMM IV - Water (It's SOOOO good - I had it extracted somehow from the files years ago, have it now as MP3 and listen to it all the time)
HoMM III - Combat02 - find it in the folder, gotta love it
HoMM III - CampainMusic11 - don't think it was in the original III, think it was added by SOD or somthing - its also in SOD campaigns that it appears. So I think of it as Sandro's leitmotif. Anyway, its great

If we speak of combat themes, I thin Combat 04 is the best. altough il also like Combat 03.
The combat themes from HoMM II are magical.

H4: Life, Nature
H5: Haven Siege and town theme, Town themes of Sylvan and Academy, Siege themes of Academy, Fortress and Inferno, battle themes of Stronghold and Fortress

h4 water theme, dirt close second
h5 Haven or stronghold theme
overall: h3 good theme (only appears on campaigns. So peaceful like my sig It makes me think of my grandmas dead )

Yes, but Combat03 and Combat04 are even better. Combat 04 is especially good, I have it on my MP3 player also.
I can`t remember HOMM2, HOMM4 and any other HOMM3 music though.
In HOMM 5, Sylvan castle music beats all, it`s very good.

I like the Castle theme off Homm 2 a lot !
Also the sound of the necromancer is very good in homm 2

I depends on what the player like and require from the game.
I like the relaxing tracks (Ach, Sorceress Town and Rampart themes...) because usually I play when I'm tired, irritaded or depressed.
But I also like to feel some thrill, so IMHO H3 Campain Theme 11 absolutely rule. I listen to it quite often, for example when I'm playing RPGs (we have really nice Polish system called 'De Profundis').
Generally the best music was in Might and Magic VI and HoMM2. In H3, MM7 and MM8 everything is OK, but there aren't so many impressing themes. Maybe despite Lincoln, Emerald Island, Celeste, Stronghold (my favorite town theme form H3 :-) ), Grass and few others.
H4 music is really good, especcially on the adventure map, but town themes have disapointed me. Rob experimented with new choir and instruments too much, instead of centering on the cool melody.
But main menu theme in standard version is awesome - so unreal and magical, ach...!
Guys, don't forget about MM9 - there were also some really good themes, for example in the main menu.
I thread whole "HoMM"5 soundtrack as a one big easter egg. Main menu theme is absolutely impressing, but nothing else. In nearly every track we have the same melody, played with another speed, instruments, etc. It's so borring!

Combat themes, it's Combat 04 for me.
I love all the rolling opera-style H2 tracks, especially Sorceress, and if I get around to playing H5 again I intend to plug in some of the H2 themes (as they are the same style) and H3 themes where appropriate, as they are simply awesome.
For the town themes, the only two I am indifferent about are Conflux and Tower, the rest are all varying degrees of awesome.

You can download the Heroes IV theme here: Heroes IV Music. I couldn't find any website with Heroes V Music but I managed to find this: Heroes V Torrent. It has all the music from the original Heroes V and the two expansions. You can just check the ones you would like to have in uTorrent. HIH!
