It would not been so hard cause really i didn't do anything. Just copied some parts of other creatures and compined them. Adding Black Dragon wings to Thunderbird and re-colouring each frame would do the job. Still it would take hours and i have allready given up on editing.
I first thinked making animation to Fallen Angels but my "inspiration" gone to zero!

Behold ye mortals, for what you now see before you is...
SUPERMAN!
EDIT: It looks kinda small though... Funny how I didn't notice that until now...

I'm glad to hear that. I just realized I became infected by creature-making. I've been sitting in front of my computer for almost two hours now making creatures in photoshop.
Here's some of my new stuff:
First I wanted to make an antipaladin/black crusader/dark templar but seeing there's like 5000 zillion of them I made something that's just a bit different, the blood knight:
After that, I decided to make a lion-man, for no reason whatsoever. I called it the leotaur.
Now there's a lot of weapon possibilities for it. Since there's not a lot of whip-wielding creatures around, I decided to make the leotaur overseer.
It could also work with axes, pikes, spears, swords, clubs and actually just about any weapon that can be found in heroes III. A whole leotaur faction can be made with a little effort.

Alright, here are two axe versions; the woodcutter and the elite axeman:
For those who dislike blunt weapons, I made the blademaster:
Finally I experimented with colors trying to make an elderly leotaur so I got the shaman:
I think that's enough different leotaurs for now.

The Leotaur would be a cool unit if you could do all the frames to animate him.

Yeah but I kinda suck at animating units. I could try, but I doubt it'll be too good. Oh, and, call me a noob, but how do I post sprites here? Do I just post a .def file like a picture or do I have to reformat it?

Thanks but I disagree about it sounding like a bull-lion mixture as there are also centaurs as mythological creatures, and taur is obviously supposed to mean something like "human" or "being" or something like that.
I think that warcraft tauren probably cause a lot of naming confusion.

Well, i was thinking about latin name, not warcraft..
if memory serves its:
Taurus/Tauri means Bull/Bulls
Even the bull star sign is called "Taurus" in english i think
Furthermore "minotaur" means "King Minos' Bull" (minos was ruler on some greek island))
But ye, centaurs make a lot of confusion now ... how didnt i notice it before

Hmmm... Yeah that's all quite strange, but if I wanted to call him lion-man it would sound something like leohomo and that would sound like a gay lion, so I guess "leotaur" is good enough.
Anyway, I finished the walking animation, but it's a bit different than the leotaur on the picture, as I had to change the skin a little to make it easier to make frames. Here it is:
What do you think?
EDIT: It somehow doesn't seem to work. I made the .gif and it works on my PC. How can I actually post it here so that it's animated?
ANOTHER EDIT: Anyhow, I think it works when you right click on the pic itself and save it to your PC as a gif. Strange.

"Taurus" does mean "bull".
Wikipedia offers this explanation for the Centaur:
The Greek word kentauros could be etymologized as ken - tauros = "piercing bull". Another possible etymology can be "bulls slayer". Some say that the Greeks took the constellation of Centaurus, and also its name "piercing bull", from Mesopotamia, where it symbolized the god Baal who represents rain and fertility, fighting with and piercing with his horns the demon Mot who represents the summer drought. (In Greece, Mot became the constellation of Lupus.) Later in Greece, the constellation of Centaurus was reinterpreted as a man riding a horse, and linked to legends of Greece being invaded by tribes of horsemen from the north. The idea of a combined monster may have arisen as an attempt to fit the pictorial figure to the stars better.
Excellent work, Baklava. I'd LOVE to see that creature in the game.
P.S. Strangely, the only name which would fit would be Narasimha. Lionman sounds best, though.

Leotaur seems to be used more as a name for a human/lion with the lion's body and the human head and torso. In other words, it's like a centaur but instead of a horse, there's a lion.
Anyway, your Leotaur looks really nice, Baklava. The animation in the gif (when I downloaded it) is too fast to see properly but I expect it would look good in the game.

I'm glad you guys like it. Ok then, I'll continue animating it.
And I think you can slow the gif down in Adobe ImageReady if you want...

Of course. I just finished the "idle" animation:
I was planning to do one animation per day, so that I can finish all of them before the summer brake ends. Since I'm beginning to go to high school this year I don't think I'll have that much free time when it starts.

Thanx

Well I used the following (there's probably other solutions though):
resedit, defview, adobe photoshop CS2, adobe imageready 9.0
what I do is extract the desired .def file using resedit, take the desired pics from the .def using defview, edit them using photoshop and animate them using imageready.
Quite simple, theoretically.
By the way, I finished the "take damage" animation:
