Poll Question:
Heros on the run
As I was playing and getting a hero out of a prison, I got to thinking. In HoMM 4, would you like there to be able to be more than 8 heros out on the overworld at one time. Less? The same?

I think Mara confirmed we won't be able to have more than 8 heroes, but I should check my files. This is an interesting point.

I wonder why we wouldn't be able to have more than 8. I'd really like to know why. Hopefully your "files" show the reason.

you know, i dont mind if there will be more/less hearoes, most of the times i play with only 1 hero.

I think 8 heroes is just fine in HOMM3. But if 2ndary heroes will be more useful in the next game it would be a completely different matter. You would probably have use of any you could recuit. Sooo naturally itīs not possible to answer your question until I actually have played the game.

...it really doesn't matter... why? two reasons:
1. Only 8 will be permited in HoMM4 (read the interview)
2. Like Baal, I always play with one (rarely 2)
...just for the record though, more heroes would be cool..

Hmm...my own interpretation of the new system is that you can conceivably have up to 56 (8X7) heroes out in the field at once, although I can't imagine anyone actually doing that, since, among other things, it would mean you did not have any troops whatsoever.

I dont care that much but its already been made that theres gonna be a max of 8 heroes... but i only play with 2-4 heroes anyway usually.

more than 8
...would be much better, 'cuase there's always a lack of heroes. Dunno about you guys, but I always miss'em, especialy on x-large maps. Some of them flag the mines, some carry the army... and there are always maps that insists on several main heroes to defend the territory. More than 8 I say.

Ha ha ha. Well, I'll put a different meaning to it. I thought it meant strong and tough....so we'll jsut stick with Incubus' idea. Wrapped in iron and dangerous to any who meats.
