We're not good at European Football, but we are good at basketball! And so, America retains its pride. Oh, and we rock at American Football, which is way more fun to play and watch than Rugby. Not saying Rugby isn't a cool game or anything.

Yeah, the USA has three great sport-disciplines!
1. Basketball --> Who won the last world championship? 
Greetings from Yugoslavia
2. Football --> Only popular in the USA, other countries play soccer or REAL football like the australians
3. Baseball --> When did you reach your last win against Cuba? (I think it was about 1923 )
So please, calm down and don´t overestimate the USA sport

Hey, PH, you don't have to come from L.pool or the poorer parts of Manchester to hate the Red Plague (Or MUFC, if you will). I come from a small mountain village up in Norway, and I hate them. Not that I am more fond of Liverpool, but...
Anyway. All you summer-olympics (or the 2nd para-olympics, as a friend of mine once called it) can take a hike. Winter sports are what counts! Cross country skiing!!!
Comment on the 'great rivals': Isn't Arsenal and Spurs pretty hateful towards each other as well?

Yup we helped develop golf...... and we're useless at that too. I reckon we simply made the rules so... sportingly that we gave the other nations too much of an advantage.

Well, considering that Britain is in talks to sever ties to the European Community and has agreed to enter the Union as states 51, England, 52, Scotland, & 53, Wales(they are trying to get Northern Ireland as 54 but Bush was quoted as saying "we have too many Irish people in the US as it is"). So any attack on Great Britain is and attack on the USA.
