Hey everyone! It`s hard to say what castle is the best, but surely inferno is the worst (nothing personal to those who like them)! On big maps adv. had Necro(we all know why), castle, rampart and tower because of their heroes with diplomacy(with little luck, when you start collecting creatures, game is over). On small maps, Solmyr and tower are the rulers! I like the most necro.

I believe best one is Castle. C'mon guy archangels are killers no monster can beat them. Also archangels heals the allies once.

I beg to differ. On 1vs1, the Mighty Gorgon beats ANY unit (except part of the non-living and undead groups).
And in final battle amounts, skeletons beat the crap out of angels (the longer you accumulate angels, the more skells the opponent will have, only a LARGE number of conservatories can help you here), same goes for Ancient Behemoths.
Also, Inferno is the only other town that can produce army on the battlefield. If you know how to do it right, you can get hundreds of them demons in exchange for units you normally wouldn't use because.

Yes, that is thrue! But Pit lords and devils are the only things that is god in that castle and normaly you will fight them first. You have at least 1 archer to hit ES, and even without them, lightning is enought for him. When you look overall (army and prices), they are weak. Are`nt they?

imps/familiars - demon food
gogs/magogs - gogs demon food, magogs help killing the demon food to get demons
hell hounds/cerberi - tell me how this is a bad unit
demons - average on 1on1 vs others on same lev, but if you handle yer pit lords right, you can get hordes
pit fiends/lords - solid lev5, gets you demons
efreet sultans - very good lev6
devils - fast, no retal - great for cleaning the map
How's this a sucky lineup?

Because I`m new here, explaine please what means demon food? I think, if you are excellent player you will know how to give 100% from every castle, but if your opponent is excellent too, with inferno you can`t beat him, regardless what castle he got. That`s my thinking. I didn`t play on net, but i played alot on hot seats, and all of them agree that inferno is weak castle. But maybe I`m wrong, who knows?

Pit lords have the demon resurrecting ability, right? Demon food is units you want dead asap to turn them into demons. If you know how to use your demon food efficiently, your demons can quickly outnumber the opponent's vampire lords, basilisks, swordsmen etc by 10 to 1. This is Inferno's greatest strength, just like necromancy is Necropolis's.

And just what's wrong w/Vampie Lords? If u get tons of them and they ressurect back to their full number w/every attack, retaliation they get, they're a very effective unit themselves. I found that since most of the time the ppl I've played would MOB and gang beat the snot out of them that they can indeed be deadly when they never really seem to just "go away" lol

Those statistics aren't really worth anything. In order to see which unit is really effective you gotta play the game, it's more about how your army works together rather than the effectiveness of a unit.
And if special abilities are factored in, that table is really subjective thus not having much value.
Anyway, me like all towns.

I was only using a theorectical unit v unit fight, in practice it would very rarely happen.
I myself would consider V.lords and D.knights the more dangerous units (and P.liches if your units are together)

Actually, the only lev7 that can withstand the power of the skeletal hordes is the devil, and it's only because of the speed/no retal combo.

As well as titans with it's range attack, no melee penalty, 300hp and speed of 11 (enough against skellies)

You defend yourself very strong against the might of the skellies.....hehehe
But why donīt you try it on your own?
Open the mapeditor, make a small island, 2 towns, 2 heroes, one hero has (if itīs a good(!!) and rich map) 10 - 14 titans at the end of month 2. The other hero has about 2500 skellies.
Try it without spells, afterwards with all Lev1 spells.
Make a few changes everytime. Save the map and start it as a hotseat game. You play both heroes.....
Tell us the results here...please...

There is no strong or weak castles. It depends who the person and how he playing it. I strongly say that it depends on the person not the castle he got. Most ppl have they favorite castle, also castle they most skillful at. PPl ALL DIFFERENT IN MIND.

I would have to Agree with Albert.
There is no weak castle, they are all played in a different way.
Except Conflux, which is a cheat.
